Julie, so sorry I missed this! You can flip it upside down and hit it with low heat from a hair dryer. You can also tease the piece.

No, it will attach at the sides and around the back. It's very easy to glue a clip in, if you prefer it, though.

Hi Lauren, I read the method you use to lesson permatease with a hairdryer. Is this permanent or does it need to be done every wear? And how does it work, Does it somehow shrink the fibers?

It would be permanent - any heat applied to synthetic will permanently alter the piece.

one question though, how do you cope with hair loss? i'm sure there are many treatment option that naturally stimulates hair growth. because as myself i'm still have hard time dealing with it. hair loss is something that no women wants to go through it, but for mens it's totally a different story.

+Ali Jahani I think it affects men, too. For me, wearing hair is what I can control. I don't think about the actual loss anymore - there may be stuff to stimulate hair growth, but I'm pretty much done fighting it.

I know this is the old comment but thank god due to lots of research and visiting dermatologist I was able to find out that my acute hair loss was due to malnutrition. luckily I don't have to deal with this issue anymore. I have been hair problem free for years. :D

I'm Asian and I always had a big thick hair so losing hair at an early age was always a question for me. It's truly a blessing to be a hairy person and have lots of hair.

You can't really put curl/wave into a synthetic topper (well, you CAN, but it's tricky). If you find a wavy wig you love you can always cut it down to topper-size.

Can you wear the 18" topper if your bio hair is about 10"? Is it full enough that it won't separate in the back, and have you bio hair show through?

I'd think so - I know some women that do that. I've always done the opposite and used my bio hair as the longer, bottom layers. This piece is full enough where you should have no trouble with separation.

How do you know when one is "done"? I've had a Jon Renau easipart for over a year and a half and it still looks pretty good, aside from some crinkling on the ends I can't seem to straighten out.

If it's only a tiny bit, you can likely get away with it. This pieces does have some swing on the bottom so you may be able to get that to work.

Hi. Would like to ask you please , which one has more hair? My hair it's really bad in length. At top I have but really thin but the length is the problem, not much hair and no volume, so I need one topper that is full in length. I'm in between noriko 12" Milan or jon Renau 18" top secret. This topper has recently been renamed Top Style (synthetic), so if you go to look for Top Secret, you may not see it. It's the same, though! Both have a similar amount of hair since the base size is the exact same size.

Hi, looks great, I thought it was the Milan so a seamless transition between the two on you :) How did you thin out the front please without lots of short hairs showing through? I have just bought the Milan and would like to thin the density at the sides to make it more realistic and flatter to the head. I have thinning shears but am terrified of wrecking my new piece!

+Lynsey Willmoth I lift up the top layer of hair then pin it back. Then start thinning about 3" from the top. If there are any short hair (and if there are, they are few and far between), they are covered. Easy peasy, go for it!

Yes, I do use thinning shears. I just make sure to start a bit down the hair shaft, so I don't have short hairs showing through, like Lynsey Willmoth talked about.

A camera won't make the hair shine, but the 8 can lights right above my head will. :)
