I can’t condone it personally. I remember feeling betrayed and taking on a level of disrespect for my elders. It goes back to the teaching a child the way they should go when they’re young and having the faith of a child to enter the kingdom.

Not in complete agreement with this particular video, disagree on a couple of points. Lying to children is wrong & sets them up to distrust in the future. Also use of NLT is not a good idea (unless someone is as knowledgeable as Pastor Allen) as we DON'T KNOW which verses are better translations & which are abominations, i.e. Acts 3:19 where NLT adds 'repent of your sins' etc. For that reason best to stick with KJV as benchmark for accuracy for those of us who are unable to understand Hebrew/Greek. Christmas is inaccurate but we must always remember that the Lord is in control and He has allowed it because it's resulted in Christ preached to the world so let's take the opportunity to share the true Gospel! I dont like the santa idea, I just think christmas should be a giving of visitation, skip the gifts, it puts to many people under stress to spend to much. The people that are bad at gifts, it would work out better for. Celebration of Jesus being born to save us sinners.

It would be even better if Christians didn't celebrate Jesus's birthday on a Pagan Holiday that isn't even Jesus's birthday 🤔🤔 Google whose birthday is really Dec 25th.. and why pine trees are used and presents placed underneath. The Old Testament forbids cutting down and decorating trees. States it's Pagan Traditions... So why would true Christians choose to disobey YHWH and choose to celebrate his Only Son in what YHWH calls an abomination????? They WOULDNT and fought against Christmas for GENERATIONS.... WAKE UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Christmas is al about ..celebrating...remembering...and honoring the birth of our LORD JESUS CHRIST....( even though Dec.25th isnt the official day of birth )....Christmas belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ...❤😊

Literally just did a sermon on aliens and don't be deceived yet actively ignoring Christmas Easter and such deception and deceiving selves explaining it away.... No different when people think others were abducted when rapture hits.... It's not legalistic and it is something God's word says not to do. And blindly following the world and pagan idolatry

I used Santa as a tangible way to teach my kids about God giving us the greatest gift of all - Jesus Christ. When they asked me if Santa was real, I asked them why it mattered. We knew the true meaning of Christmas, but Santa made it fun to teach about giving.

I'm so glad you talked about the ages kids stop believing in Santa. I led a very sheltered life before my parents divorce. My dad went to Vietnam and I didn't even know there was a war until high school several years later. I believed in Santa until I was 13. My parents were divorced and my mom was working 2 and 3 jobs to support us as my dad took off. Before they divorced we had the magical Christmas mornings, room stuffed with gifts. The Christmas after they divorced my sister and I saved our babysitting money and got presents for our siblings and mom. On Christmas morning we rushed to the living room and there, under the tree, sat the only gifts to be had that Christmas. The ones we bought. I was so upset, almost hysterical at the discovery that Santa wasn't real. Years later when I was a mother I went to a church that told us celebrating Christmas was sinful. So I told my 9 year old son, poor boy. He too became almost hysterical. I think the best approach would have been telling them the truth about Christmas, and the myth of Santa, that we could have fun and yet celebrate the birth of our Lord.

Tell kids about the example set by the real St Nicklaus, not the modern myth of Santa Claus. Look up his story if you dont know it. He copied Jesus by meeting people's needs. I think we do need some cheer midwinter though, in fact when Christmas was banned in England the people kicked out that government, and if children get nothing when all around them do, what will they think of Christ ? I decorate for cheerfulness and the kids get presents but also go to church to keep the message Christ centred. They are encouraged to give a bit themselves, either using pocket money or time, or donating old toys to charity, because thats what Jesus wants us to do - love others.

Pastor, what you call legalistic, I call reading the Bible and sticking to the Bible. Would you lose your salvation for having a Xmas tree or believing in Santa ( Satan) Claus, may be no. But let us remember that God does not share his glory with no one. The Xmas tree and the whole Santa Claus is a pagan (Babylonian) worship of their gods. So, no Santa (Satan) Claus is evil and no Christian should sing or worship this pagan god.

Pastor Allen is a great pastor but a bit full of himself and just because he knows Hebrew and Greek doesn't make him the best pastor out there. This sermon about Santa is totally WRONG! He is probably just nostalgic about his childhood ...

Judy Allen I think Christmas Easter and Halloween have pagan roots and but don’t think Jeremiah has anything to do with Christmas trees. If someone wants to celebrate Easter and Christmas and get free candy on October 31 have at it. But you can’t be against one and not the others. And after questioning the Bible and studying those days I think it’s wierd that Christmas and Easter are church holidays when they are not even biblical

So...Santa Clause...according to the song...knows if you've been bad or good? He watches you when you are sleeping? And...he's coming to town? Hmmmm...seems to me...Santa Clause...can do none of this. But I know Someone who can. Jesus Christ knows if we have been bad or good. Jesus Christ watches us when we are sleeping. Seems to me...Santa Clause...is a replacement for Jesus Christ. Santa can do none of these things the song claims. Only Jesus Christ can. As far as Santa Clause coming to town....???? Ummmm...no. Jesus Christ is coming to town, (His return here on Earth). Nope...nothing about Christmas is Truth. Christ claims to be Truth...literally. And there is nothing...not nothing, that is the Truth about Christmas. It is all lies. Because it is lies...Christ can have no part in it...because He is Truth. Satan's great deception. People just cannot let go of Christmas...because of how it makes them "feel". So they justify it. It is lies...and Christ cannot be part of lies...for He is the Truth. That is not being legalistic. Calling that legslistic...is just a cheap way to justify what one "wants" to do. No Truth in Christmas. Christ...is Truth. Only Christ knows...if you have been "naughty or nice". Santa don't know...anything.

The Bible is the FINAL authority in ALL matters of faith and practice. And there is NO warrant in Scripture to annually celebrate THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, but instead, we are simply to BELIEVE it with all our heart. History shows that heathens considered their earthly kings as being gods and they would worship them by celebrating their birthday every year. Likewise, heathens would celebrate the "birth" of the evil Sun-god on their occult high day during the annual Winter Solstice with the same decorations and gift giving and gluttony and drunkenness that the Xmas festival has today on the 25th of December. The Lord Jesus Christ is NOT a helpless baby. We must remember that He is NOW in Heaven to be worshipped as our Creator which means He has NO origin. God does NOT want His followers to worship Him in the same manner as the heathens worship their false gods, but instead, we must worship Him in a PURE untainted way. God tells us not to be conformed to this world and to abstain from all appearance of evil. According to the Bible there is NO such thing as a Christian festival. God wants FAITH - not festivals. Please read Deuteronomy 12:4 & John 3:16.

Extortion is what my son would use on grandma who babysit him all those years that his uncle was gay and he d tell grandpa. So even though my son figured out at age 3 there was no santa, he used the extortion on grandma buy me this or I ll tell grandpa uncle is gay.

We don't make Jesus Lord! He is Lord! He always was and always will be! Salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in the blood of Christ Jesus alone! Nothing I do, don't do, keep or don't keep! You are mixing Salvation with our walk! They are separate! You can not walk with God until you are Saved and filled with God the Holy Spirit! Then, you can run the race of faith! It's not you that does it, but Christ in you that does it! Jesus did it all!

Rom 3:23. Why did you choose the rather than the glory of God which every other Bible translate it to? Standard remind me of the high jump. When I was in schoo. I needed to jump that high to make the team. I believe the glory of God is ever changing as each one of us grows differently in our relationship with Jesus.

If he wants to call this legalistic lets focus on the fact that his wife us co pastor. Goes totally against what paul taught about a woman not being in authority over a man. Paul forbids a woman to teach or be in authority over a man and since all scriprure is God breathed, then what paul what is also God breathed. Is that leagalistic too?
