Thank you for joining us this morning for a brand-new study on the Apostle Paul. What was your takeaway from this morning's message?
@lesterstone85953 ай бұрын
Did Jesus attend one of these fancy schools that you mentioned? I know that he impressed everyone when Mary and Joseph found him in the temple at age 13. Was cost a factor? What about John, the Baptist? Did he learn in one of the schools that you referred to as the Harvard and Yale of their time? I'm wondering if they found better teachers at a lesser-known place. I recently got accepted into a PhD program, not at Harvard or Yale, but at a less expensive Christian university. A dedicated student can learn almost anywhere.

My takeaway from this teaching was how inredibly intelligent Paul must have been.

It amazes me how to learn how intelligent Paul really was. To learn about the education that he had to go through. Just in this first episode, I look at Paul's life and I have to ask myself, what should I be complaining about. You can see how Paul lived his life for CHRIST, and we should all be the same. Of course it is not easy. GOD, please give me the strength. In JESUS name, Amen.

Thank you pastor Allen, it’s funny I say a lot of the things of things paul says instead of saying imitate me I say follow the one I follow by following me Because it’s about picking up your cross and denying yourself and I did but now I have a thorn in my flesh literal demons around me spiritually attacking me 24/7 lately

Wow, how much I love history. I have to say when I was in school, I was not like that. What is interesting is that when you get older, and GOD makes you a little wiser. You start to understand and respect history. The bible is the greatest history ever told. Pastor Allen Nolan is the best history to ever tell it. Please don't get me wrong. There are others that can teach, but I like the fact that he breaks it down so, that and 8th grader can understand. Now if you think about this, that is making us all that much smarter. Thank you, Pastor Allen Nolan, because I see when it comes to GOD, HE wants all of HIS children to me educated. So, we can now go out and educate the world.

Lesson 1. Tonight I begin Pastor Nolan’s teaching on Paul. I love his teaching style. I respect and deeply appreciate his depth of knowledge of the scriptures as well as the social and geographical influences on the people and events. Thank you, Pastor; even as I begin I know this will be a prosperous journey. God bless you.

I will pray for your dad and brother, whoever they are. I pray that GOD will guide them and watch over them. I pray that GOD will open their eyes so they will know who JESUS CHRIST is. FATHER, I ask that you put YOUR love in their hearts. So, that they know and understand the real love that YOU provide. For, FATHER, YOU are the ONE who is in control. It is to YOU that we bring our worship and praise. So, FATHER, I ask that you please help her dad and brother. In JESUS name I pray this prayer. And all GOD's children say, Amen.

thank you again and again for teaching God's word. We students are hungry for deeper understanding and appreciation for His word. I am so glad you come to us over the internet. May God keep you well and cared for as you encourage us to learn, to keep showing up to learn. You are a blessing, a taste of Paul and Jesus. I want to be like Allen Nolan. Ultimately, however, like CHRIST. Love in Christ.

You’re teaching brings a whole new light on Luke 2:41. So when Jesus as a boy was teaching in the temple, and everyone was amazed- these were teachers who had all of the old testament memorized. I imagine to amaze them would be very difficult. I imagine the only way to amaze those readers of the scripture, would be the author of the scripture explaining it to them 😮
@ronaldross69503 ай бұрын
Wow, so your comment is that JESUS is the author of the bible sort of? I like that comment. To be honest, I have no doubt about that.
@a-a-rondavis94383 ай бұрын
@@ronaldross6950A general consensus is the Bible is God-breathed, also Jesus says He IS the Word. It says that at the beginning of John. What I wonder is where the actual spirit of Jesus comes into play. 12 years old is well before the human Jesus was baptized, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove, so I don't know the dynamic of boy Jesus having that knowledge. Maybe He was just different in that regard.

Page.3)I love Jesus even more, if that's even possible, but I thank Him for it all. The good and even the bad. Reluctantly, sometimes about the bad lol. But it's all Grace, during those years she saw me grow up, and grow in the Lord....and she was a mother that prayed 🙏 for her son's every single night. Even, in our sinful lifestyle's. Her sister who she was basically twins with, Id love to show you a picture btw(can I get your email) used to tell me, Justin you have no idea how happy your mother is of you right now...this was when she was battling cancer of the brain...She still to this day (her sister) tells me on almost a daily basis how proud your mother was...this was before I joined the Church she attended and Joined the worship Team. Oh how much, she would have been proud of me. Words can't describe. Well this is where the story takes a very strange turn...her and my dad were happily married about 45 years .... Well when she passed he got into sin...deep into sin. I won't go into details here, but as of today his girlfriend is 22, stripper ex prostitute, both kids have been taken by child 🚸 welfare, type of sin..he's 72. Pastor. Chain smokes, he's never smoked a cigarette 🚬 in my life, drugs, alcohol and women...every single day...unless he's sleeping it off. We have no relationship, and I was favorite son at one point in time...he showed me what grace was as well. In so many different ways and situations. Did I know at the time? Towards the end yes...in the beginning absolutely not, I was a spoiled brat, who took advantage. But today me and my mom's 2 sister's are best friends and text each other every single day. I receive prayers, every single morning, from one of my Aunts, and the other, we talk about the deeper things of the Word and pray and pray. Boy she's a Blessing...Well both are. That's my current story, and I left out probably 75% of it. I ask anyone who read this.....pray for my Father...my family and myself. Jesus, I know you see This cry for help. I want my family back, and My Father back, because I don't know version 2.0. It absolutely disgust me...but I have to remember Grace ..and God's timing. Good Night All. Love J.

The prayer Allen did at the end won't save you unless you truly believe and thereby mean it with all your heart. This will not happen immediately, but in due time as you keep on pressing on in searching Him with all your heart, things will happen to you that will convict you to the point where you cannot help but to want to get baptized and follow Him, for that is a commandment of Jesus that we must be reborn and that cannot happen in disobedience to Him. That prayer is a first step towards an encounter with true repentance towards the narrow road.

Last comment. So if the scribes and teachers of the law were in a sense Harvard and many of the disciples who Jesus chose did not make it to that level, I bet the scribes and teachers of the law looked at the other apostles as they were community college guys. So when Jesus, who authored the Scripture, said something profound, it really shut those Harvard guys down
