I am Yet to find anyone who speaks with such clarity on the patriarchs. It's very refreshing. Appreciate it very much, pastor. Kudos also to the congregation which is eager to learn such truth and not flimsy feel-good messages. Love from New York.

You? Do know that Esau hated, God, And he hated his brother, Jacob! So there is no blessings for, Esau
@donlim7723 жыл бұрын
@@marthaingram4621 , I am not sure if Esau really hated God but one thing I'm sure God is not bias in giving His blessings and shows no favoritism (Acts10:34) . God blessed and given the Esau descendants just as Israel's descendants.

I'd like to comment on what I have listened to here and in other video's regarding this. I heard a student in a video for Rabbi Gotleib state that Isaac asked to "kiss" Esau's face, Rebecca had placed goat hair on Jacob's his hands and neck, however his face would have been smooth this person indicated. Could Isaac had been more "aware" than people think?

He didn’t receive his birthright because he forfeited it to Jacob for a meal. God was a witness to his promise to give up his birthright for some food. God made sure it was so.

This is why you don’t tell the twins who was born first!! I don’t even see it that way, they are both the same dang age… parents keep it to yourselves and save them from those petty fights. My friends brother lords over him a few secs(or a minute or two) and they fight over it. They are in their 40s today.

Jacob received the blessing but it is bigger than that, plus he leaves and works for what he receives ... but this is really about salvation isn't it? But Joeseph really wasnt chosen by his brothers they left him for dead and sold him but its by God that he was chosen.

Any religion that recognizes the bible as inspired by God should take note of such scriptures as Amos 9:11-15. Verse 15 makes it very apparent that this is an end time and even post Armageddon prophecy. In all other exiles that Israel and Judah went into they would return and go back into again. But as vs 15 brings out this time they return and become permanently established. Whether verses 11-15 are applied to physical or spiritual Israel and Judah, they still stand as end time post Armageddon prophecies. Now, it's within this context of biblical prophecy the nation of Edom along with some other nations are spoken of as becoming a possession of Israel. This tells us Edom is still around. That it wasn't completely eliminated 2000 years ago as some Christians teach. Does Edom become a possession in the sense of being a subject of the nation of Israel? Or by being put into outright servitude to it? Compare Isaiah 14:1-2. 61:6-7. According to the Bible Edom has been a prime opposer of God's people. Malachi 1:4. Joel 3:6,19-20. We learn from Amos chapter nine that the nation of Edom is still around in the end times and post Armageddon period. So, any zealous bible student might want to know who are these people today? What name or names do they go under right now? And do they still collectively oppose Israel or God's purpose in general?

There's quite a few assumptions in this sermon. And it goes out of its way to justify Jacob receiving the birthright. But it's pretty plainly clear that both he and Rebecca know it is wrong. "But his mother replied, “Then let the curse fall on me, my son! Just do what I tell you. " And it also fails as a theory because in the following chapters of Genesis Jacob essentially does 20 years of service as a form of retribution. Only then after this penance does he return and after his struggle in the tent named Israel. Also the theory of Jewish tradition does not necessarily apply because essentially this is pre-judaism. Abraham being the first and Isaac the second. Hence there are no traditions that are Jewish. You could only say if it were true that it was a Middle Eastern tradition.

Failed to mention or explain that Jacob tricked his father and Esau. That should be considered hugely in this discussion! Not to mention he bamboozled him over his birthright as well. I’m not speaking against Gods design, I’m saying you should make that make sense…

I'm no preacher but I do read my bible and the message in this sermon isn't quite right (1) are we suppose to ignore the fact that Esu sold his birthright to Jacob because he was hungry. ( 2) it's there in Genesis and Hebrew 12 vs 16 clearly states this also ( 3) Not every text in the bible is a parable that needs to be solved or that you need to add or extract from it and this is dangerous territory because we will have to answer for it

Esau is the son of deception. I mean they can’t even kill their pride to tell the whole truth. It’s always a spin to save white face. That’s why yah will destroy them, because they never repent for their ways in their hearts and acts.

Look you speaking a load of crap! Just making up crap as always! Jacob got his birthright for a bowel of soup and bread. The he wore his clothing and put hair on his hands and neck to trick is him father! But God already knew this would happen he called it while they were in the womb. Also, God hated Esau because he gave away his birthright for food.
