No, I'm pretty grossed out by this guy's behavior at the beginning of this film (I'm paused at 2:15 to write this). He doesn't respect her when she ignored him at the gas station, asks where she's going, and sits riiiiiiight next to her at the diner, chewing in her ear and calling her out for lying about her destination. She doesn't have an obligation to talk to him or let him in her car.

Our story thus far: Kismet Diner was gorgeous and 40 Love was seriously sweet. Beauty and the Geek was sweet, too, although the mother's over-the-top animosity toward the geek was puzzling, and never explained. Margot was okay (if a tad cornier than most)... ...but these last two -- XPhobia and The Oasis -- have me wondering if 'cupidity' is code for 'stupidity,' because in both films you have characters who should know better doing seriously stupid things. Both films center around a young woman choosing to be alone in a car with a total stranger. Do I really need to tell anyone here that this is *EXTREMELY RISKY BEHAVIOR* ??? 😳😮😱 All the fictional 'cupids' in the world can't protect a woman in that situation from the bad things life can dish up. FFS, please stop encouraging this!
