There’s been so many fires this year I’ve seen on other farming channels. When it’s dry like this running equipment, all it takes is one bad bearing to start a fire.

I saw this fire from near Burnips. Glad nobody got hurt and corn was saved. Many corn fires posted by farm tubers this fall.

Down here in Hillsdale county we got some rain on Friday but it's still a tinderbox out here. All it's going to take is someone burning leaves on a windy day or dust in a combine catching fire and it would be hard to contain.

Intotdeauna cand ia foc pe camp te urci in tractor cu plugul agatat dupa tin si faci repede o aratura ca sa delimitezi partea sa nu se mai extinda focul...ok 😮...aaa ❤️💙💚🌽👍

There’s been so many combine and corn fields on fire this year it’s unbelievable
@Drloew12 ай бұрын
Yes there has. So easy a barn could be consumed or people’s houses from these field fires when the wind picks up and it’s super dry.

my round baler kept catching fire it so dry chaff in front of press roller ignites im surrounded with corn/soybean fields far as a eye can see so i stopped & parked the baler for the season. fire extinguishers on tractors & baler i do keep the crop sprayer full just in case just never seen it so dry that chaff catches fire every windrow. there's no morning dew end of october still 80* ducks/geese still hanging around 1 year ago today we had 11" snow

I got a question, how didn't the liquid cow manure make the fire worse? Manure is combustible, so what difference is it in liquid form?
@Drloew119 күн бұрын
If Manure was very dry like cardboard, it can start on fire. This was a lot of watered down Manure, which is not combustible. There is a gas that is a methane gas that is produced from Manure that is combustible, but that would only be in a confined area. So this was so much liquid that it extinguished the fire.

Should always have a tractor and disc in field. Looks like the person started the fire is going to owe you money for your corn that he burned down
