Great video Mike Agree ACL needs to either remove a step over, or strongly enforce it For the casual viewer, and to draw more interest, removing it entirely makes more sense. It’s just difficult trying to justify why there’s a line that you’re allowed to step over under certain conditions Thank you for addressing boards. That complaint drives me nuts. There’s very few things in the game that you have to adjust to. Suffering board conditions, to me, are what really keep the game interesting with how quickly people adjust Thanks for another great video

I think this was your best video to date. Absolutely agree with several of your points especially surrounding the need for tiers in ACO and better support for bag makers in ACL. I am a bit of a bag junkie and am constantly wondering what bags are being thrown. Seems like announcers would do a bit of homework instead of rambling on about topics not pertaining to Cornhole!

I'm not sure what league you are referencing here. The ACL only pays out about 60% at opens and the ACO is less than that.

International distribution of cornhole: Here in Germany more and more people are playing cornhole, but there could be a lot more. Let's not think about the shipping costs and taxes for importing at the moment. It's really difficult to buy decent cornhole equipment in Germany. Unfortunately, many bag manufacturers do not want to ship internationally. I emailed a few and asked about shipping costs to Europe - not offered! Wickedwood Games in the Netherlands offers a few and the other way out is to order on Ebay or Amazon USA. Luckily there are WickedWood Games in the Netherlands, so I can at least get a small selection there. Love this game!

Most people don’t realize the cost of renting out these convention centers, I also heard they are charging or thinking about charging for insurance. I don’t know if that’s true I don’t know if the entry fees are covering the cost of the convention centers going up each year

Why can’t we just go throw bags and have a good time without drama?
@soklyvann30303 ай бұрын
Because PEOPLE are involved. Somebody will complain about something, that's human nature. I've participated in competitive sports my whole life and find that people in cornhole are extra dramatic. It's probably because there's money involved.

So why won't these companies remove the stamp? What's the point of having stamps bags? Are bag companies sponsoring these leagues? I watched the ACL world and damn every players has that ultra logo on their shirts... LoL ultra probably sponsored 75% of the players huh?

Does anybody know what the payout are for the ACL? What does first second and third place?
@HelloHello-yb1rl3 ай бұрын
I believe I read somewhere that the average ACL pro was making about 18k/year from payouts. Most pros are entirely reliant on sponsors to get them moved about the country to play in the tournaments. It's really about the size of the sport right, pro ping pong players don't make much either.

Depends on the division, participation, and event fee
@thecaliforniamaniac3 ай бұрын
@@cypressranger2567 do you have any examples . 💰💰💰
@MikesBags3 ай бұрын
The payouts vary depending on how many players sign up. Here's an example from the Las Vegas Open. Payouts in singles for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were $1400, $900, $600. Payouts in doubles were $3000, $1800, $1000. The ACL does pay out a lot more than the top 3 places and they pay out for each tier/division. That's one reason why the top spots don't pay as much.

Why are bag companies leaving the ACL? Do they promote something that these companies don’t agree with?
@NateSalzy3 ай бұрын
Control over your own company is a big reason from what I've seen thus far.
@KAP8143 ай бұрын
@@NateSalzy that and how much money the ACL wants. Also, didn’t BG buy the ACL? Seems like a conflict of interest. idk. Rumors of over priced stamped boards for any events that allow ACL points. Local spots are just not going to be able to afford that, it’s just taking away the fun aspect of the game. Just my opinion, though.

Watch CornholeBagReviews ‘22 podcast - ACL vs ACO Stamp, New ACL Rules, Bag Regulations // F&4B - Episode 27 Corbin and Eddie from SubZero detail the differences between bag levels in the ACL. Rec/Comp/Pro all dictate differing minimum production capacities and availabilities etc. as well as how much each bag producer must pay ACL for the privilege of stamping their bags with ACL logos. Given the large number of smaller bag producers that have flooded the market since the podcast the ACL has made even more demands from those that carry the stamp.

@KAP814 they demand a lot, but there certainly is a give and take.

Was really hoping you would talk about the actual game being broken. The game is way too easy. There are way too many players that play at an elite level. It gets boring watching every round be 12-10 or 12-12. The game needs to be backed up or made more difficult somehow.
