The Venetian glass industry enjoyed a golden age during the Renaissance. By the early 1500s, the wonders of Venetian glass were well known throughout western Europe. Not well known, however, was how these objects were made. Until now. I actually just made my first wine glass last week (tbh it was more of a fancy, mediocre shot glass with a stem), and you made this look so easy! This looks so fragile and elegant, I love it! Mine's very thick and has too many bubbles in it from the furnace, but I'm pretty happy that my first attempt actually came out okay :) my second one is currently being annealed and I already see some progress being made.
