Brilliant video chaps. I went into Reefers last week when on Holiday down your end. James was an absolute Gent and helped me out when it came to fishing marks. Couldn't believe he was only 22 with a that experience. Keep it up!! Got a comment from Mr John Locker too. That's a true honour haha.

Lovely session, lads, loved the ambience of a chilled evening on the Fal that you included. My God, we are so lucky to call this paradise home, and we should NEVER take for granted what we have on our doorsteps. Earned yourselves a well deserved sub from me, guys, looking forwards to watching the channel grow, and bumping you into next time I venture from Scorrier for a wee session. Last outing for me was on the Hayle estuary with a mate chucking some lures. Errrrr, yeah, that's what we did, chucked some lures, but it's all practice I guess! Who dared say “blank”? 🙄

beautifull setting.....try some floating beads near the hook to make the hookbait buoyant and keep it out the weed perhaps..?

Was on a charter with a guy down in swanage, apparently with Bream, sometimes you'll get a load of knocks that seem like bites but it's actually when bait is too close to their eggs the male Bream will just attack the bait but not eat it. Which is why it sometimes seems like you miss a load of strikes

Groundbait is what you need. I think this is what it's called in England. I'm an Aussie. And no great exploding sinker cast scaring every fish away.
@TheFalAnglers2 ай бұрын
What ground bait would you use for bream fishing?
@redtobertshateshandles2 ай бұрын
@@TheFalAnglers for saltwater fish?? Chopped squid, pilchard, and tuna oil mixed with chook pellets or cooked rice. Or chopped up bait fish of some kind. You need to bring the fish to you.

Nice video lads, my experience Weed runs through that mark on the bigger tides Worth having a look for peelers whilst your there. I prefer peelers as bait over worm. I find on that mark it best to fish the low at first light, more small bass and bream about. Best of luck next time 👍

Just an idea - I wonder if those bites were hitting the bait sideways on? If so, try using a small circle hook at the top of the bait. You're using long baits with only one hook, so a pennel set up might improve your hook up rate
@TheFalAnglers2 ай бұрын
Definitely a possibility! Yes that’s a good idea we need to make up some more pennels more suited to this style of fishing!
