Thanks for showing Gweek. I have very happy memories of going to Gweek with my mum when I was a little boy to look at some kittens. I chose a black one and I called her Gus, even though she was a girl. She was the sweetest little cat and she had quite a long life, living to be nearly 18, which isn't bad. Gweek still looks pretty much how I remember it.

Awww, that is such a sweet story! We have 3 cats, one is all black and his name is Eric. There's a whole story there... Haha. Gweek is so lovely, very quaint, and perfectly tucked out the way!

My mother’s name came from Exeter & East Budleigh. Guy emigrated to the US circa 1670. We took her to see Cornwall and then Wales for my father’s name.

The US didn't exist in 1670, it was British North America. The US wasn't established until July 4, 1776. My state, South Carolina, existed before the US and was actually founded in 1670 at Albemarle Point in Charleston. The King Charles II gave South Carolina it's name. The 13 Colonies existed before the US was a country. They were British Colonies at that time.

We had been traveling a lot! The water would have been very cold, and I didn't want to risk getting my only pair of shoes wet! hehe.
