Porthpean is our local beach, our families have had lots of good times here over the years, and yes, it does get busy in the summer.

That lodge looks lovely Cat. I'm so jealous. You mentioned Porthpean beach in another comment, the area around there is fantastic, I'm so jealous (have I already said that?)😁. I've stayed in lodges similar to yours years ago, and we said at the time, it's better than our house. I can see a change of channel name coming; Lodgelife with Miss V😂 And reduced cake ftw🎉😂

@truth3358 I am liking Cornwall a lot, I love Scotland though, wide open spaces and fewer people. And boat or van?...I think I'd have to try coninual cruising to give you a educated answer on that one. My boat was a static residential, so I couldn't travel, unless it was by land anyway, and I love the van cos I can go anywhere at anytime pretty much, I can park pretty much anywhere, and also get to a destination quicker if needs be. Maybe a 50/50 split of the two would be the perfect solution, and a decent canal system, the one I was on was limited anyway, it didn't link to any others, and only had a 14 mile stretch available to travel on. My current answer would be van 👍
