Coromandel Gravel Paradise (New Zealand) - Indoor Cycling Training

The Coromandel Peninsular in New Zealand is an exceptionally beautiful place. It has lots of gravel roads perfect for cycling. One particularly beautiful road is the road to the northern tip of the peninsular. It starts in Colville and ends in Fletcher Bay. The ride takes you along the stunning coastline and up beautiful hills. Most of the ride is on flat gravel roads with very little traffic. It is an easy ride, but it has some small hills and a few big hills with short sections of double-digit gradients. After the last climb, you can enjoy a beautiful descent to the peaceful oasis of Fletcher Bay.

Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But when it comes to music, opinions are very mixed. This is why we have added no music and why we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute KZbin and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, KZbin, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... The original sound of the ride has been left out. This is because the natural sound of the surroundings is drowned by noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing.

MAGNIFICENT!!! Don't usually comment, but this ride was outstanding with spectacular vistas. One of the best country rides I've had on this platform. Makes you want to get on a plane and go there.

You are doing an amazing service to those of us who are limited to indoor workouts. Does anyone use these videos with VR headsets? If so, which headsets are compatible with these videos?

Good question. I think it would be amazing riding indoor with a VR set. Mmm it's that even possible ? If I connect my smartphone to a VR set and play a video on KZbin it would work better than a big TV ? I've never tested this. If it works, I will buy a VR set. Never had one before. I am curious. 😀👍

Great views and lovely journey. Car driver drove too fast though to imitate cycling. I rareky cycle 40mph+ Slow down a little. I slowed it down to 75%
