Coron | Private Boat Tour and Group Tour | Which Is Better? |Island Hopping Experience | Palawan

Coron Palawan is a true paradise! It is one of the most amazing islands in the Philippines with stunning blue and turquoise colored lagoons, vibrant reefs, exciting island hopping tours, snorkeling and scuba diving. This is the one place to island hop. There are hundreds of tropical islands, lagoons, beaches and lakes to explore.
Private and Shared Boat tours are two options for island hopping. The best tour would depend on your specific likes, preferences, activities, scenery and your budget. Renting a private boat is expensive specially if you're a solo traveler or a couple. Group tours are significantly cheaper options. Also with Group tours, everything is already planned so you end up with allotted time per visited spot. But with Private tour, you can customize your itinerary as you please. You can also come and go whenever you want to. With Group tours, all of the entrance fees to the island are already included to your tour price but with Private, you have to pay for the entrance fee for the places you chose to visit for your tour.
Both options have their Pros and Cons, but still if you have enough travel budget, we prefer the versatility of a private boat. We like the ability to have early access to some of the most sought after places in Coron before the crowds arrive. Ultimately, it all depends on what suits you best and that this video gives you some ideas and perspectives on what to expect.

Strange question but how was the bathroom situation if you had to go 💩

Some boat has a booth with basic toilet and some island as well marked with a "CR" sign. If it doesn't have, he may jokingly point a bucket with plastic bag or do what the bears do for #2, and then go into the ocean for #1. Your boatman will address the toilet situation for #1 and #2 during his intro speech before the boat sail.

We were there around late September. We weren't able to do all the tours because of bad weather days. Nevertheless, we were able to do the popular tours. So that was cool. Where did you book your private tour ? Did you select the places to go?

We booked our private tour from our accommodation at Paolyn's houseboat. For sure on private tour, you can personalize your itinerary as you please from the list of places they go. You can also dictate how long you want to stay on particular islands that you like most. Anyway, most accommodations in Coron can arrange island hopping tours for you whether for private or joiner. It's for their guests convenience and to maximize vacation time with no stress. 😊👍
