Gosh, Mary makes me cry with her intensity, the complicated emotions, the paradoxes, her voice is a bit different than Mary's description but that is far overlooked by her performance. Edmund's actor is spectacular, he makes those lines sound very interesting to the viewers but his confidence, his charisma, is starkly different from the anxiety written for the character. Jamie's portrayal is the most to a T, I feel like O'Neill's character comes to life with him, or you could say, James O'Neill comes back alive with him. James demands respect, his stature commands attention but I feel very intimidated looking at him act. I feel like there could've been more emotion in facial expression but not having your co-actors around does have its effect. I enjoyed this a lot, the play is supposed to be draining emotionally, the same way it was for O'Neill, and this reading was, it was extremely on point, breathing life into that long day. Thank you so much for this video, it helps students like us a lot. I'm sure it was exhausting for all of you as well. Thanks again, extremely appreciated.
