Thank you so much! We've gathered feedback from viewers over the last year or so, and have changed up how we present our tutorials, with these quick introductory ones (which we call How To videos), then longer ones (which we call Tutorials, but even these have a different format to their content), and then there will be more different types coming in the future. That way there should be a video to fit your needs, whatever it is you are looking for :) Thanks! Tom

Hi! thanks for all the tutorials!they are really clear and useful! Just a side note here for anyone who's struggling with this map... You can only preview it on the Virtual Frame Buffer or doing a quick render test... at least that's the only way I managed to use it haha.. maybe it is obvious for most of corona users, but I'm pretty much a beginner with the render engine.. thanks again and keep the tutorials coming! :D

Very similar to the upgraded Corona AO map. Thanks!
@ChaosCorona2 жыл бұрын
Similar, but different for sure - the AO map, since it deals with occlusion, also captures "shadows" on a surface cast by other nearby surfaces. Curvature however doesn't care about that, and only about how quickly the surface is changing. There are examples in the release blog to see just how different they can be :) blog.corona-renderer.com/chaos-corona-8-released/ Thanks! Tom

would it be better to use corona in 3ds max vs cinema 4d? Im more used to cinema with octane/redshift but have decided to try and pick up 3ds max recently and have decided to try corona over vray for now. Still on the free trial to see how I like it.

Either really, it all depends on whether you prefer the modeling, animation, creation, UV mapping, etc. tools of Max or C4D, that is, the non-Corona stuff. Corona itself is mostly the same in both, so you can make your choice based on which host you prefer. Thanks! Tom

Now is 2024, and this is still more friendly than the similar shit in Vray :D

Good one, thanks! Project files available to play around with?
@ChaosCorona2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not - it would take too much time in clearing licensing and copyright issues, or to model things from scratch, and that would delay us being able to get the videos out. However, Chaos Cosmos should have content that will let you follow along without having to go searching the web to find something similar! Hope that helps - Tom

Когда будет поддержка рендера Gpu?
@ChaosCorona Жыл бұрын
There are no plans to create a GPU renderer from Corona - instead we will remain focused on making it the best CPU render engine there is, while V-Ray GPU, Enscape, and Vantage fill the various roles where GPU may be required. Thanks! Tom

@@ChaosCorona из всех я люблю корону рендер, и по этому спросил будет ли реализация на видеокарте? Спасибо ☺️

@@YrysSariev Understood on why you were asking :) But no, there will not be a GPU version of Corona. Tom

AO для ленивых.

It works differently than AO, giving better results for this kind of wear and tear, though you can use AO if you like of course and if it gives you the result you are looking for. And of course, there is nothing wrong with saving time in setting up a scene - being "lazy" is definitely a good thing, in that if there is an easier, faster, less complicated way to do something, why not do it! Thanks! Tom
