Also, one thing I've realised now that we're back in rainy season, is rainy season = mango season. I've been foraging so many mangoes from around the neighbourhood. I even found papayas yesterday. Free food is good!

Congrats Adrian to you and your wife. Well deserved and I will say, I’m a little jealous. But I’m on my journey also. I got about 2-3 years till I hit 1.5million USD and will be living on my passive income just like you guys. It’s nice to be able to pick up and move when you don’t like it somewhere. Go where your treated best. I gotta hunker down for a few more years up here in South Carolina and then goodbye. Costs here keep going up all the time. We are getting sick of it. We probably could do it now but I want to have at least 1.5 million to feel secure. Keep up the great work.

We tried looking into going to Florida permanantly but unfortunately, we can't just go there as stock market investors, we would need to invest a minimum of 1,000,000$ US and become real estate investors or have a normal job, Panama doesn't have this problem?

great video and congrats on your leave to panama. me and my wife really tired of toronto after 22 years living here. why did you choose panama over places in US which is really cheap to live like florida or texas where there is no personal tax and weather or people are good? how do you communicate in panama as their language is mostly spanish?

yeah Latin America in general is just a happier place despite all our problems we face back home (ie. poverty etc) but we're just happier people in general but I'm sure like certain areas are better than others, so do consider that before ever making a drastic big move to a brand new country just because of a trip! : )

Do you have to liquidate registered accounts in Canada (to cut ties) or can you keep all of these still? Also, if you have a corporation in Ontario, does this need to be dissolved? I understand that income earned outside of Canada is not taxed so I wonder if one can move permanently to a new country and keep ties to Canada without tax consequences...

I live in Toronto 6 months a year and Puerto Vallarta during the winter months , and not during summer months because of the heat, but love Toronto and visiting Montreal in the summer. You might like the heat of Panama in the summer, but I didn’t , and been to Panama twice. It might be for you, who knows, and hope you like it. Don’t take comments personally, just passing on my experience.
