A dramatic episode as Albert (Jack Howarth) & Florrie (Betty Alberge) find Ena (Violet Carson) lying unconscious in the Vestry after suffering a mild stroke. Friends Minnie (Margot Bryant) & Martha (Lynne Carol) rush to be her side as she is taken to hospital. After a mix up the residents soon learn Ena is on the danger list. Elsewhere Jack (Arthur Leslie) has gone to Barnsley to care for his 87-year-old mother who is gravely ill.
