Stan (Bernard Youens) is a bundle of nerves about flying. The Ogdens miss their flight due to Stan's anxiety and spend the day getting tanked up at the airport bar. Terry (John Barratt) asks Ken (Bill Roache) for help joining the football team. Elsie (Pat Phoenix) allows Minnie (Margot Bryant) and Ena (Violet Carson) to watch TV at No.11. Annie (Doris Speed) is still upset about Lucille's (Jennifer Moss) go-go dancing and asks Billy (Kenneth Farrington) to have a word with her. Minnie panics when Ena starts showing signs of senility.
