Tbf, the guy that plays Aaron is a good actor, he gets the tone just right. Says all the things you'd want to get across for the storyline but doesn't do it in a hammy way (which can often happen when soaps do educational stories). Still have major doubts about the Aadi actor, never seemed on the level of the other, similarly aged, actors. But I may be being harsh, probably seen less of him than the others

In controversial storylines like this, dialogue is often used to make educational or moral points (it's the producer's way of justifying broadcasting something potentially upsetting) which actors, especially when they are young, can often struggle to get across naturally. He gets it to flow, he thrives where his peers would fail.

I don’t think they’re going to lock him up. Rape cases hardly ever end in conviction. The only way he could do was if he made a confession to the police himself. Controversial opinion though, but idk if he deserves to be? It seems that he just made a mistake with terrible drunken judgement.

@Max Fraser alcohol isn't an excuse I'm afraid - like if you kill someone, you can't say I was drunk therefore I'm not responsible and shouldn't be locked up. He has to be locked up its soap land otherwise its just going to go on and on. No, the offence of r@pe has to involve penile penetration (Sexual Offences Act 2003). So, only biological men can be r@pists. There have been cases where men have been penetrated by women whilst too drunk to consent with objects (can't write the word on here or the comment will be deleted) but this can only be classed as sexual assault under the law. Sexual assault carries a sentence of 10 years, whilst r@pe carries a life sentence. It can come under a separate offence called "sexual assault by penetration", which also carries a "life sentence" but the judges are often more lenient in sentencing than with r@pe cases. There has been petitioning in recent years to change the law so that women can be charged with r@pe, but that would result in all other sexual offences involving non-penile penetration being classed as r@pe also, hence why it hasn't been changed. There's also been a lot of argument surrounding cases of male "forced to penetrate" victims, I.e. men who just had regular sex with a woman whilst intoxicated etc and claiming they weren't able to consent. Most legal debates usually mention that it is physically impossible for a man to be too drunk to consent to penetration (i.e. penetrating a woman or another man).

I'd suggest that you look at the definitions under the NSW law, and read the sentencing guidelines. There's a reason why the legal definition hasn't changed in England and it can be seen in this legislation. I will also point out that the programme is based in the UK, so it's perfectly reasonable for me to answer the question in relation to the law of England and Wales and correct you according to such. If Amy had had sex with Aaron without his consent, it would not be classed as r@pe in England. Whether it should morally be classed as r@pe is a different matter, but quite sure the comment related to the legal definition. It isn't legally classed as r@pe in the UK and never has been, which is why Tracy wasn't accused of such when she pretended to have had sex with Roy in 2003/4 when Amy was conceived. From my recollection, the topic of whether he had been r@ped was discussed in the programme, and it was done in order to make people aware of the definition under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Tracy knew it wasn't illegal for her to have sex with Roy without his consent, or that it would not be classed as r@pe which is why she was perfectly happy to lie to him about it ...to extort money was that? She could have been done for sexual assault, but again, how could he prove that? I guess evidential thresholds are only really important to Tracy when they're in her favour.
