I thought this was uncharacteristically cruel and needless. Dennis was no angel but I never thought he'd just run off on Rita like this. Even smiling and waving as he drives past her with Gloria. Terrible.

Unless there's a later TV report with footage of them both drowning. That would be awesome. Horrible exit for Dennis - would not have taken him for cruel, especially as Rita did get him off the streets.

i hated this exit it was just so not Dennis, one thing about dennis he was daft and silly but come on he was always good to rita.

Would he really be that heartless. At first I thought he was going to slow down and apologies and try to explain - but instead he laughs at her. That seemed really odd and out of character.

Poor Rita! It was cruel of Dennis to take off with Gloria when he is married to Rita. I would be hurt if he dud that to me even if he is 36 years older than me.
