Well breaking the tablet wasn't really Gemma's fault. it was stupid of Joseph to leave it on the floor, covered and not expect it to get broken

But all 10 year olds boys and girls I know have been taught to respect their belongings and not leave their expensive electronic stuff on the floor. toys and games yes they leave on the floor- breakable electronics like a tablet noo.

@@BlastFromThePastTheGoodOldDays well ladydeeda. Where I come from working with kids for 8 years. Most are pretty careless. Even the best of the bunch mess up. Their brains are still developing. Even adults screw up on a bad day. I stood on my own laptop once in my twenties. But where you come from everyone is perfect.

For all of you saying its not Josephs fault because he is 10 years old, well im sorry to say this but it is, he should know by now at his age, don't leave things lying around otherwise there is a chance it will be broken. maybe instead of watching tv he can tidy up after himself. most kids these days think at that age they can just do whatever and should always be treated like the innocent one and just act like it was no ones fault. And that money don't grow on trees, if u cant see joseph they got the quads to look after, Anyways at least you had a tablet, some people cant afford one.

Except Fiz smashed Hope's tablet in a fit of rage after Hope said she wished Fiz wasn't her mum and regretted afterwards. Gemma did it by accident which makes us aware that we should never leave our precious gadgets lying around where they could be broken

Even back 20 odd years ago when I was a young kid. Kids wanted the latest stuff. It's nothing new. And I had to feel left out because I was poor. Now adays. I'm not that fussed about what I have. Possessions and the latest style are meaningless to me. But as a child you want to fit in. It wasn't so bad when everyone was in the same boat. But consumerism is getting worse. My parents caved now and again and got me a pair of Adidas trousers which were the rage back in the 90s. But I remember my mate showing off his Nike trainers 54 pounds which was a lot back then. And feeling like shit. It's hard being the poor kid. But at least I appreciated what I had in the end. And although it was tough we never went without good food, clothing and necessities. And treats and holidays. Some kids never get that. Stuff isn't always what a kid needs. They need fun times together as a family.

When I was a single mom if my son's wanted something I'd tell them to go mow lawns or in winter go shovel walks and driveways...or wait till next Christmas.

Obviously been spoiled in the past. As so many kids are. It's the parents fault if they allow their kids to leave shit lying all over the place. Kids are literally dumb. They are so easily distracted. They don't think about consequences. Because they aren't expected to. I think they are too babied these days. And practically rule the home. My mum would never have tolerated stuff lying all over the floor in her living room.

@@louwinters508 yes, spoiled being allowed to leave things on the floor. You'd think with four younger siblings he'd know better, look after his stuff . Not spoiled with material things, they cannot afford that. My mum would'nt tolerate things left on the floor either .
