I don't agree. Martin was always snapping at Gail and before this he was treating her badly because he was having an affair and Gail would say something totally reasonable and Martin would snap at her and still Gail would respond calmly. She dealt with Sarah's pregnancy really well and no one gives her credit. I think Gail was quite decent at this point in time.

That is why she has kind of had enough here, Martin had an affair all year before this and he keeps playing good cop with the kids. Gail is dealing with helping Sarah with Beth and making sure Sarah keeps up with school plus the stress of pretending Martin has done nothing wrong. She has just had enough hence why she seemingly overreacted here.
