Thank you for your video! Asking here because it is the most recent: have you ever tested Apple watch's "time in daylight' functionality? It doesn't seem very accurate but it would be nice to know whether either can be used with a grain of salt or it is total garbage... And maybe Apple would be inspired to improve it!

Oh no, sorry to hear you and Lisa recently broke up Rob! 🙁 That's always a sad situation when it happens. And while it's a small comfort right now, just know you're definitely not alone experiencing this....and when time is right, I feel confident you will definitely meet that "special someone" again! 😉 We are many "workaholics" who lost relationships for this "habit". So my quick advice would be to perhaps pay a bit more attention to this fact going forward. But at the same time, don't let it ruin your joy for the work you do....but perhaps let a potential future partner know this is a part of you. So it can't come as a big surprise, that you don't have oceans of spare time to dedicate just for here, but need time to do your own things as well! Compromises must be made, where necessary! 😉 Thanks for this particular review as well, done professionally and as objectively as is possible. When times feels hard, it's even more important to tell people their efforts are appreciated.... so, thanks again for your great work reviewing hardware trackers on KZbin! 😉👍

Thank you for your in-depth analysis. Coros has been an emergent player in the fitness tracking space, sponsoring a lot of 'fitness influencers'. I feel like they need time to improve their products. We need more competition in this space. On a more personal note, I can see how a break-up would affect one's feelings about one self. It is tough.

"... I lost my sense of self-worth while being in that relationship". As a specialist in consciousness and emotions, I take the liberty to give you some unsolicited insights. A relationship of any sort or even a traumatic incident could never have an impact on our self-image and self-worthiness. But, they could potentially trigger subconscious, sabotaging beliefs that we may have been withholding from conscious awareness. So the relationship that you feel wrecked your self-image, is a blessing in disguise because it's giving you the opportunity to explore the magnificent, so-far-dormant aspects of the greatness and uniqueness of the infinite being that you are. I went through a similar break-up at early 30's and a consequent serious depression. I was never the same again after that. I grew to love, adore and admire myself for who I really am. You can do it too my friend!!!

Great review. Thank you for comparing this watch to the Pace 3. I'm not sure it's worth the big price increase compared to the Pace 3 (€250 -> €400). I also don't like that the watch is bigger. In my opinion, it would have made more sense to keep the Pace 3 as it was, but with significantly improved precision for heart rate and sleep tracking, and a moderately increased price (+ €50). That said, the Pace Pro can do an ECG, and that's a nice feature.

The one super important factor about GPS that I see absolutely nobody test is the GPS delay/latency. It's the time between when you change pace and when the watch is updated the pace on the screen, it's basically how fast a device can acquire the gps data in realtime. If anybody know a source/ data please let me know!!
@miket365222 күн бұрын
Best channel for smart watches... just shows exactly how poor Coros is at active HR tracking and sleep stage tracking, which are deal breakers at this price. No reason to watch the other reviews talking about the screen or processor if these data metrics are so bad. The smartwatch market in 2024 is getting fairly saturated with subpar, overpriced devices. Who cares about the battery life, or AMOLED display if the actual data captured by the watch is so poor.
@marinmercep255221 күн бұрын
It makes sense that the heart rate sensor on the watch doesn’t perform the best, otherwise, no one would buy an additional heart monitor if it only worked a bit better.

@notmyname78120 күн бұрын
@TheQuantifiedScientist The coros pace 3 re-test seems like a pretty big red flag to me - for the running/cycling/weightlifting heart rate results, it's hard not to think the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, time of day, clothing, who knows what else) aren't playing a bigger role across tests than perhaps the abilities of each device. If you'd tested the pro at the same time as the original pace 3 test, i'm guessing it might have shown up close to the top like the pace 3 did. That has implications for every other device on those comparison charts...

Outside weather should be in the 15C in Wien, it'll get harder and harder for optical sensors now. Especially in the beginning of the runs, but if weather gets even colder during your run, like in an evening, even the end might suffer from these artifacts. Still, Coros needs to at least get it on par with the Pace 3. Assume some firmware updates will do that. Curious to see how bad your winter tests outside will get! Edit: damn the rest is even worse. RIP
