I just ordered the new Garmin Epix. Really excited for AMOLED screen for the maps. People freak out about the battery life but it surpasses the Apple Watch already and is more than enough. Most adventurers still bring a batter backup for their phones anyways.

I’m just looking for a watch that bread crumbs me back to the beginning of my hikes. What watch would you suggest without breaking the bank. This is a nice watch but I work for a living. 😂

Ive found nothing to be better than my Apple Watch and WorkOutdoors (App) as far as clear display, GPS, breadcrumb trail. Apple watch battery life is nowhere near the hiking/outdoors specific watches but I get 7-8 hrs. More than enough.

Just bought the Vertix 2 and immediately I noticed something is wrong with the display. It’s extremely dim at night with the backlight on and when the backlight is on everything is yellowed out/has a yellow tint to it. The whites aren’t even white. Is that just how the Vertix 2 is or is something wrong with mine? Because it’s something I noticed immediately. I’ve compared it to my Suunto, Garmin and other Coros (Pace2) and something is definitely up with the Vertix 2. and it’s not something I’m going to be able to deal/live with.

I have heard that a few times I here in the comments. The Vertix 2 is not my daily driver, but when I do use it - I have never noticed issues with the lighting.

COROS Pace 2 and Vertix 2 has the same display tech.
