Who the hell wrote the narration script for this documentary? Right out of the gate at the very beginning the narrator says - "Elvis thought he was a country singer". - Uhh...No. Elvis did not think that. He actually thought it was ridiculous that some people back then kept Promoting and Billing him as a country & western artists, because even though he liked C&W and it was part of his roots, he also had a strong love and preference for rhythm & blues and he didn't feel he fit the traditional country & western mold. Elvis actually talked about this with one of his friends back in those early days from Memphis Ken Herman, and he also spoke about it with one of the promoters with the Louisiana Hayride. The proper way to say it is that it was white country music folks that didn't want to embrace or talk about the rhythm & blues influence of Elvis that kept trying to put him in that country & western pocket. But Elvis thought it was silly and didn't agree with it. And that's a fact. Come on now. I know Elvis was a son of the South and this is a Country Music Documentary. But let's try to act like we've done basic research and we're not misconstruing what or how some of The Legends (in this case Elvis) thought. Aside from that, I'm actually enjoying some of the other insights and info though.

Country music has always had an identity crisis. That’s not to say Country isn’t good, there’s a good plenty I love about it. But I think Country has always struggled and is almost constantly experiencing growing pains.
