There goes that redhead again! "Stand By Your Man" has been picked apart politically for decades. Enough already! This was a song coming from a woman's heart of love. It is NOT an endorsement for abuse and mistreatment. Tammy was far from a doormat; she was a strong woman in a male-dominated industry. Yet she was a feminine, traditional woman from the South. She was not going to burn her bra anytime soon. There are good, hard-working men in this world that certainly deserve the love and devotion expressed in this song. My husband of 19 years is one of them!

Very well said. Songs like this are needed more than ever today. With a near epidemic of fatherless families, skyrocketing suicide rates for men and a lost generation of boys who have grown up in this dysfunctional environment I see this song as a woman fighting to keep a marriage together. Today's culture also has NOT benefited women who are suffering from depression at higher rates than anytime in history. Equality and rights are fine but they in no way give your life meaning or happiness.

Tammy Wynette and George Jones never stopped loving each other even when there marriage over. I think the reason why Tammy and George marriage did not work is because they both had problems and due to the problems it broke up the marriage. George Jones even said many years down the road that he loved and cared about Tammy Wynette and he will always love her. Sometimes some people are just not meant to be married to each other and if they both have problems then they for sure will not work out, Because the problems will get in the middle of the marriage and cause the marriage to break up.
@vivenneholden1018 Жыл бұрын
I agree, but the reason they split up is because George Richy interfered in their marriage and Tammy listened. He got into Tammy's head when she should had told him not to interfer. When Richy finally got her where he wanted her under his control it was to late because he dosed her up for his and his mistresses self gain, Tammy's fortune. She was not left alone and George jones was never left alone, where the new husband and wife working together on George jones and Tammy to keep them apart, I would say yes. There children where also cut out of their parents fortune and possessions. I rest my case. Rip George Jones and Tammy Karma for those know they did wrong even if its passed down to then their children and not the blood related children.

Feminists ruining everything since forever,for all those who think it started with Wokeness,no one had a problem with the song "When a Man Loves a Woman" with lyrics like "If she is bad, he can't see it" or "Sleep out in the rain,if she said that's the way, it ought to be"but "Stand by Your Man"that's problematic.

That’s right they had problems. George had a bottle problem. George learned later he had been married to the love of his life. And the bottle ruined it. He didn’t appreciate the woman he had and let it get away from him. She just couldn’t take anymore. And who could blame her?

She came from a country life to experience the glamour of a city life, but pain and heartaches were her constant companions. She was good singer with an extraordinary beautiful voice but her life was never truly happy...."stand by your man" is truly beautiful song, but what if a man "stand not by his woman?" You died young, the fans missed you.

It's sad when women fall for men that have an addiction. We always think we can change them and make them realise there is something else worth living for. Sometimes they catch on. It takes decades but they get the idea. Some men never get it, and push the wife away and some even abuse the wife. It's always shown that everyone suffers when there is an addict living with you, or even a father.

When you treat men (as a woman) in that way, supporting, loving, forgiving, you will actually transform men into what you want them to be. Not saying it will happen every time, but the vast majority of times you will help him improve. A man will not improve from being nagged. The more feminist women have become the worse marriages have become.

But do I believe that it's okay for a man to slap a woman around? Heck no...!! Try to make it work, but don't let him hurt you. Run to Jesus girls. He's the only man that won't ever let you down. 😉🙏🥰

How many statistics have shown that conservative women are happier than liberal women ? Two words - God and country. Conservative women tend to have God in their lives more than liberal women , and country - country living, living amidst God's creation; fresh air etc. Is healthier living. As for that pompous music critic, he doesn't know Miss Wynette or her ❤.
