Right. Most people who speak English as a first language still mess it up. And pronunciation is regional. Things are said differently all over the English speaking world. It’s a language with weird inconsistent rules that often make zero sense.

It's hard to talk about your bisexuality when you are a woman who is in a marriage with a woman too. I GET IT. And I appreciate you sharing. This pride is a challenge. It's the most divisive and mean spirited pride in maybe 25-30 years and its pushing my mental health. But I am celebrating EVERY corporation that wants to stick with us instead of succumb to meanness. And instead of entertaining intolerance and lack of kindness, I am growing 80 billion tomatoes in a rainbow of colors! Sending you fierce hugs!

Except they're not sticking with us, they're making money off us and ignoring the fact that LGB and T+ don't even belong together as a single cause because they have diametrically opposed needs in some ways: remember how LGB is sex-realist while T are pretending sex/gender would merely be a social construct and that therefore anyone but pansexuals would be transphobes instead of realizing that in fact they are hetero- and homophobes by refusing to accept that most people simply aren't pansexual. And I'm saying this as a pansexual.

What you shared about being bisexual in a committed opposite sex relationship is something that I've heard from so many of my friends in the same situation. From the other side, I definitely find myself tacitly assuming things about others in that situation. Not actively, not maliciously, just in a passive "I never thought about your sexuality until you told me this" way, so I appreciate everyone speaking about it during pride. I am trying to unlearn the passive assumptions, but it's challenging! It strikes an odd balance between wanting to know your full authentic self because you deserve that and feeling that it's really not my business and you don't need to tell me.

You are one of the few YTers that I watch consistently because you are yourself. Who the hell cares about an accent?! I love accents! When English is a second language, you get so much more vivid language and expressions. It’s just one of the many reasons I live in NYC, the mix of people and the respect for one another. Please don’t give credence to a few and notice the many that adore you as you, and always stay tuned. ❤

I had the complete opposite “coming out” in that my sister outed me against my will, and I got the whole “you won’t be gay in this house” speech from my father. My now-wife was my “friend” for 12 years or so, and it was only after my parents found out we got married without telling them that they realized they done f’ed up. Even after a homophonic nurse admittedly withheld care during a blood clotting crisis because of my sexuality, only my wife and the charge nurse were appalled. I love everything about you being you, because on the worst blood clotty days - including two new leg clots in as many weeks that have left me in an obscene amount of pain - you are one of my safe spaces, so thank you so, so much for that. 🧡

Thank you for talking about the LGBTQIA+ community and for sharing your experience in this community. I'm pansexual, but most people don't know because I'm in a heterosexual relationship. He's just the person I found, and he's my person. ❤ I also like what you said about communicating with your partner. I also tell my hubby when I'm having a bad mental health day and that it's not him. Gives him a heads up and helps him navigate the day with me. He does the same with me, too, and I so appreciate it. Our kids have even started telling us that. My oldest (8yo) needs his own time a lot, and I'm so proud when he recognizes that and communicates it. PS, I saw your tweet, and I hate that you've lost followers over discussing pride. This follower is here to stay, though. ❤

Angie- I first started watching your videos BECAUSE you’re different! I’m not a colorful makeup wearer (although, you’ve inspired me to inch out of my comfort zone a bit 🙃), I have dry skin, I prefer dewy to matte, etc. I think different has helped me to open up to trying things I probably would never have. I’m glad you don’t fit into the “typical “ beauty content box. I get bored with them. And with you- I’m NEVER bored! Stay true to you, enjoy your time here in the US, and to the haters- use our phrase here in the South “Bless your heart”, because if you know- you know. 😉 Love you Angie- and Ricardo, the pups, the kitty and your content ♥️♥️

Also bisexual, also married to a man for 23 years this month. It never became an issue until our oldest son came out 3 years ago. When I asked him why it took him so long (he was 16 and I've known since he was very small). He told me he knew I was a huge supporter of LGBTQ rights, but he didn't know how I'd feel about it in my own kid. So I had to come out to my own kid. Lol He never considered it as a possibility because he only knows me within the context of my relationship with his father which presents as a "traditional marriage" since we married young and are monogamous.

It took me forever to admit it to myself that I'm bi. I grew up in a pretty open home environment, but everything around me was very hetero normative (Eastern Europe anyone 😅)and looking back, I really did also like women from an earlier age, but always dreamed of finding the right guy for me. And I have found an aweseome guy and moved cou of my home country. While it feels he is the one for me, in a way I feel like I have missed out on sth. My closest female friends also always felt more like sisters, so no lovey. sexy feeling there. 😅 It's also nice to read the comments here, so many lovely, supportive people on top of an ever amazing Angie 🥰

Another bisexual here, married to a man. My (almost) 15 year old son recently came out to us as bisexual. He's known my husband and I to be staunch supporters and allies for the community. He's grown up knowing and socializing with our friends, many of whom are LGBTQIA themselves or are at least allies. Point is, we've always done our best to normalize it. But I've never come out to him and have just let him assume that I'm a supporter like my husband. So I recently came out to my son as well. It's been great. I haven't really spoken much about this part of my life and my history with anyone in quite some time and it's been quite therapeutic. Even though I'm married to the love of my life (who happens to be a cis male), it's not like I left my gayness at the door when I started life with my husband. I don't think I even realized how much I had been silently compartmentalizing until I began to talk about it with my son. But I realize I have things I need to process (again) internally to make myself feel whole again. The world has come along way since my initial coming out over 20 years ago, and I bet there's so many more resources, including books and such, that could help. If anyone knows of good resources, please let me know! Thank you, Angie, for speaking about this. Our niche in this community seems so small, but I'm betting that there's way more of us than we know! ❤️❤️❤️ Happy Pride, Everybody! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Thanks, Angelica! I agree. The biggest secret to a good and long lasting relationship is that when you fight to focus on the actions and not the person. Never make it a character thing or call names. I don’t have a big support system and am struggling with burnout and overstimulation/ stress. I just had a birthday Saturday and I told my husband I need to go out alone for a while. So I literally walked around a big mall sniffing perfumes and ate lunch by myself. 😅 Btw your English is really good. It literally shocked me that someone had the audacity to tell you anything about Ricardo and getting a different husband. My husband and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this September and I had a handful of people tell me that I could do better, I made a terrible choice and even that we would only last a year. People need to remmeber that while everyone has an opinion, you dont always need to share it. Silence is golden and apparently a lost art lol Stay amazing, Angie!

Congrats on 25 year’s. 🙌🏽🙏🏽💕 People are soooo miserable, lonely and never been married or can’t keep a husband, man or a woman…..but those be the one’s leaving negative comments. It’s soooo many negative unhappy people out there and that’s sad.

I’ve had some of the same comments made to me 24 years ago when I met my partner- “ But, you’ve always dated men” “Are you sure you want to commit now before you know if it’s a phase?”. How about I love who I love, you love who you love, and we all just be happy? Interesting concept I realize 🙄🙄 Happy Pride y’all 🌈

Aww, I had to stop what I was doing to really listen when you started talking about how people are saying things that are bothering you, for whatever reason, because you don’t need one to be able to express how you feel about how you’re being treated. I hadn’t been seeing your videos for a few weeks because I swapped accounts and I hate that it took me so long to pop over to your channel, you are such a breath of fresh air. You’re so right and people need not share their “shoulda, coulda, wouldas” with people who didn’t ask. Even when someone is meaning well the judgement can still sting. If I can say one thing, I think it’s possible they think they can say whatever because you’re very vocal about your own opinions, so they probably think that’s an okay for them to pass their own judgements; they’re not thinking about that you’re talking about makeup and they are talking about you as a person. Doesn’t make it okay, but that may explain why it happens, it’s def not a you problem.

i was so happy when you told us about your sexuality, because it made me feel understood. my mother is a strict catholic, and isn’t ok with the fact that i’m bisexual, but my dad never had an issue with it. my brother is gay, and it’s pride everyday with him. yet, my mom accepted his sexuality but not mine. i’m glad that my fiancé accepted me as i am, because so many people in my life haven’t. i am and will always be an LGBTQ+ ally, and i loveeee when this time of year comes around. angie, i LOVEEEE your personality and i ADORE who and how you are, and i don’t ever want you to change. people need to just let you be, and they can leave if they don’t like it. also, depression sucks and you need to do what makes you happy. 🧡🧡🧡

I love the way you talk, hair, makeup, etc. I think it all adds to the interest. I watched a video of yours the other day, Colourpop, My Little Pony. It was so exciting to see your show from back then, your English has gotten better. But it is a bit of fresh air. I love seeing creators change, grow, learn, try different things, just being human. Being Real. It makes me sad to hear how bad some people's manners are, just because it's not in person

That jukebox example is so good!!!! I’m going to have to borrow that for future use. Thanks Angie! Also, thank you for always doing color even if it’s not “popular”. It’s helped me feel more comfortable with color and play more, and of course, not give much of a flying fart if people think it’s too much on a random day for a middle school teacher 🤣

You are so lucky to have a supportive, understanding spouse. I have suffered with depression since I was a child, and I was in a relationship with someone who truly did not understand. He would always ask what was wrong, and when you're in that deep depressive state, there is no one thing to point to, you just feel like crap. It ultimately broke us up because he couldn't deal with my bad days. BTW, you are beautiful. Don't change a thing!

Totally can recommend the book from Julia Shaw about bisexuality. Learned a lot about myself and why I behaved in certain ways, about non coming-outs and being in a relationship that seems hetero. Also learned about the discrimination of bisexuals, which seems to be a much bigger issue than I've ever imagined.
