Corporate HR is so terrible at hiring engineers it's a joke. I tossed my engineering degree in the trash as it's a dead profession thanks to how badly corporations are at hiring and retaining engineers. When the C student who flunked out of engineering gets an MBA after drinking and partying for four years and becomes the boss of the much smarter and harder working engineers, it's not a viable choice for career, is it? I would strongly discourage any American students from entering engineering. You'll make more , and work much much less being the boss. And you probably have more education to be admitted to engineering than the MBA needed to graduate.
