Corpse did indeed drop out of school when he was 12-13. From what I recall it was due to both his health issues and other stuff - he’s indicated he had familial problems at home, struggled financially and that his teachers were not kind to him. I think he said once a teacher told him he’d either end up dead or a drug dealer after school. Corpse suffers from GERD, sleep apnea (which along with the mental health issues contributes to his insomnia), possibly some sort of photophobia because he gets an inflamed eye and needs to wear a patch (the reason he stopped posting horror narrations was because writing the scripts and reading them really strained his eyes), thoracic outlet syndrome and possibly facial dysmorphia. He was never diagnosed with the latter but he admitted in his interview with Anthony Padilla that he wore a mask everywhere even prior to COVID, avoids mirrors and sometimes cuts his face with razor blades. He’s also been stalked before, is estranged from his family, and while he was suffering from his most severe health problems (couldn’t move his arms) learned his mom had cancer. Also thanks to fan donations before he really blew up he saved her from becoming homeless and was able to pay out of pocket for stuff his insurance wouldn’t cover. Man just turned 24 last summer and has been through some real shit, but manages to be one of the genuinely nicest dudes.

Corpse technically dropped out in 7th grade, but due to the No Child Left Behind Act, he was forced (quite literally, by police) to go to school for a bit longer until it was legal for him to stop going. I vaguely remember him talking about how the police literally had to drag him out of his bed and drive him to school for a little while until he confused 2 schools into thinking he was still going to one of them.
