I mean honestly, the techno theme kinda fits. It emphasizes how everyone is starting to understand that they are soon able to escape and the quick tempo shows the suspense in doing so. It gives the player a hype, sort of like in Undertale with the CORE music.

Coming back to this, it still amazes me what a fantastic game this is. Corpse Party, the very first time I played it I was both horrified and amazed. Such good ambiance and gameplay, and such incredible OSTs. This soundtrack adds such a great dramatic feeling that tells you to 'hurry up', and the composition of the track itself is of such high quality. Man, this game is so good... If you haven't played Corpse Party: Blood Covered yet, I absolutely recommend it as a fantastic game that mixes so many feelings into a great horror story.

I remember back when you could get a perfect good ending where literally everyone survives, honestly it was harder to get the bad endings back then I liked that version better, it was more minimal but it still had a good story even with out all the needless gore, and that's how you make a good horror story whether it be through a game, a movie anything, I always like my horror stories when the story is more important than the actual shock factor, yes there are scares here and there but not without stories and that's what makes it so much more interesting, that there's more to the world you're in then senseless killing.
