An outlet to purge as much negativity as possible, allowing oneself to be a kind and wholesome person. We all have the capacity for good and evil, if a piece of art, be it music, video, sculpture, painting, whatever, one can channel the evil side in a controlled way. With death and black metal a lot of people don't understand that the concepts are supposed to be "tongue in cheek", you laugh at cannibal corpses lyrics, not because you think being "fucked with a knife" is funny, but the fact that a band would have a song about it is what you find amusing...
@jimbeam-ru1my9 ай бұрын
"Death metal is actually good for your mental health" When I was a teen, I liked punk music, metal, etc. But when I got older I realized that it causes you to dwell on the negative. If you fill your head with rage, it doesn't make you calm, it makes you angry. Music is an occult art and the spells the record industry casts on us is satanic. It's designed to destroy us, to erode our traditions and values and to reinforce alienation, anger, depression, and everything bad in the human psyche.

There’s definitely zero place for otherness or toxic ideas at shows ♥️ unfortunately I’ve seen some of the other side of the coin too where people do bring unacceptable BS of some kind or another but at least in my mind it’s …..music should be somewhere where that stuff doesn’t exist, something existing in opposition to these things.

I'm 46 years old. Three kids. All metalheads just like me. Well adjusted, decent to great grades. We raised them on Speed/Thrash/Death Metal and some of the most viscious horror movies in existence. We also listened to them. We talked. They not only knew our expectations but I damn sure knew theirs. They are people too. They have real feelings, emotions, and VERY valid opinions. They need to know all of those are valued. They need to know the little spot they carve out in this world is not only imoortant to them, but means fucking EVERYTHING to me! When they succeed i am beeming with pride. When the stumble, when they fail? You could light up the night sky. Why? They failed, you say. I say they were brave enough to try. They had the balls to take a chance. Even though they knew a rake to face is probably coming, that didnt stop them. They know to treat others with same kindness and respect that they are expecting. They know that in the end, love matters most. They do struggle a bit with this whole racisim thing though. They didn't understand the concept at first. Because they were raised as this world only having one people who's diffrences make us who we are. It doesn't divide, it solidifies. Instead of questioning diffrences, embrace them. It's heartbreaking because this world has forgotten to Love thy neighbor. You dont have to oike them, hang out with them. But it is your god-given duty to love them. Love you guys. 🤘🤘🤘

I remember going to record stores a lot when I was a kid in the 90s. I didn't have the money to buy anything, so I just sat there looking at heavy metal CDs, the names of the bands and songs, and imagining how much badass those bands were. I remember that the first time I saw a Cannibal Corpse cover and read the names of the songs I thought, "damn, I think I've found the most bizarre and heaviest band in the universe". Time passed and in the end I ended up not listening to the guys' music much (I was more into heavy metal and punk by the time), but now as an adult, whenever I come across an interview or video of Cannibal Corpse today I'm impressed to see how human and good people Corpsegrinder is. He's like that metalhead friend of yours who's always around making jokes and is your partner in doing nothing with the guys, just to spend time foolishing around together. When I compare the two impressions, I realize that the intention of their album covers and lyrics was just a tremendous marketing ploy.
