I feel like the comment section of this video missed the fact that a lot of the "rudeness" in the video was amped up for the sake of entertainment value

HEY! The spray tool isn't terrible! I used it with the crayon tool to get a "powder" effect.

Honestly, your drawing is way better than Jazza's! You truely are a mastermind of Microsoft Paint. Yeah, I do agree with you on what you said about Jazza about him using Paint simular to Photoshop. They're both completely different programs and people who never saw Paint before, if Jazza's video is their first exposure to the original Paint, then that can really turn a few people away. But then there's you, the person who somehow is making an awesome comic series just using that program (Even if it's just for the lineart), who also doesn't follow trends but follow your own trends, and that's how I fell in love with your content. You may not have that many subscribers due to not following any trends, but you do have a better thing, and that's my respect. I got sidetracked, didn't I? Well... Again, You really outshined Jazza's drawing remarkably and that's mainly because you're a true MS Paint veterin, nobody could really try to make content on MS Paint as good as your drawings. If there's any other challenge you're willing to face, then that's okay in my book, but I feel like The MS Paint Comic Volume 2 is enough of a challenge for you because of how you'd try to colour in the pages in different styles which makes the comic more unique. I can't wait to see more of your videos, Tracy!

Thank you. That means a lot! Although I feel like I should correct you. The line art you saw me working was for a sequel to my coloring book (hence, only the line work); which is a side story about my characters launching a small war against North Korea. I'm also drawing an comics in full color, entirely drawn and colored in MS Paint (with a few exceptions; which is part of the story). www.ktracy.com/product-category/books/ Volume 1 is 112 pages (106 of them are comic pages) drawn in full color that really launches the story. It establishes the characters and the universe they're in. Volume 2 is underway, but it's probably going to be closer to 150 pages (again, full color and drawn in Paint). With all of the universe building stuff out of the way, this is where the story really begins moving. Painting North Korea Red is a 2-issue coloring book series that takes place between Volumes 1 and 2. Issue 1 is done (which you saw me coloring). Issue 2 is underway. Pixels For Christmas is a fun 32-page full color Christmas special where the characters try to rescue Santa Claus from a terrorist named Santa Khan from his ice cave at the magnetic north pole.

Here's a page from Volume 2 being drawn in timelapse. It's what I play on one of our monitors at comic conventions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nojGZ2yEbqpqjq8

my parents had a nice Windows 98 pc. Loved fooling around in Paint like many others. Then we upgraded to Vista (yes, really) and I really didn't like the Vista version of Paint. I've subscribed!

Awesome, Ryan!!! Thank you! I've been thinking about doing a video in the Windows 98 version of Paint. Keep an eye out for that! Lol, you're the first person I've heard from who went from 98 to Vista and skipped XP all together. I know I downgraded back to XP after getting a Vista PC. I wonder if I would have preferred 98 to Vista. 🤔

@@KevinJTracy Personally I prefered 98 over Vista. On my user file I would always set the desktop theme to Classic. I also missed the old screen savers 98 had. Pipes, Blocks, the 3D Maze, Haunted House. We ran dail-up off our Vista pc untill 2011. Think we upgraded to the new OS in 2007.

lol, thanks. I've gotten a lot of crap on social media for criticizing someone's technique. Joking aside, I really do respect Jazza as an artist and creator. However, as someone who makes a living off of pixel art drawn mostly in MS Paint, it's important to me that people see that although Paint is a simple program, it isn't the crap joke of a program Jazza and others make it out to be.

You wouldn't have a video or piece of artwork without ripping on him. He's clearly not a pro with the program and didn't claim to be, but there's a difference between constrictive criticism and just being rude - you are the latter.

Just as a reminder, I sincerely identify Jazza as "a talented illustrator" in this video. Creating serious art in MS Paint is difficult and time consuming, and Jazza creating something remotely decent in an hour is proof of that. With that said, I'm a passionate defender of Microsoft Paint. This is simple, but very good and effective software for what it's designed to do. Jazza enjoys making a mockery out of the software that I base my livelihood on, and I responded by making a mockery out of how he uses the software. However, Jazza makes a mockery out of himself in his videos and I didn't think this crossed the line and became disrespectful. Additionally, part of this video is spent providing actual constructive criticism of where Jazza goes wrong, with tips such as using a mouse instead of a stylus and avoiding heavy use of the spray brush. It's not just a mockery of Jazza. If I really wanted to go after Jazza, I would have gone after his degrading art quality over the past few years. I didn't bring it up because I didn't think it was relevant to MS Paint and I have no animosity towards him. It's also not entirely fair. As time has gone on, he's put himself under increased pressure to maintain and accelerate his video production schedule. (Jazza makes most of his money from his videos, not from selling his art) When he only gives himself a couple hours to create art for the vast majority of his videos (less production time per video = more videos = more money), it only makes sense that the quality of his art would suffer and he would start relying more on silly gimmicks and clickbait tactics. But this is Jazza's livelihood and, as a fellow artist, I'm not looking to disrupt that. I think Jazza would agree with that assessment. Most artists would. After filming this video, I did a few videos where I tried to create some art in MS Paint and post a new pixel art video almost every week. It gave me only about 3 days to complete the art, and although I was able to sell a lot of it, I'm not particularly proud of those creations. I've since slowed down and focus entirely on quality. Instead of posting weekly videos, I'm streaming on Twitch several times a week and sharing the creation of my art from start to finish in a more intimate way with those who care to learn something (or just want to hang out and chat while I draw). Finally, you're right that I wouldn't have a video without ripping on Jazza a little bit. I'm just having fun. However, I don't really consider what I create in this video "artwork." It was art when Jazza did it, but aside from renumbering the robot to "02" there's nothing particularly artistic about re-drawing someone else's art. I sell my MS Paint pixel art prints on my website, and this isn't among those. Not only is it below my quality standards, it's not mine. So I don't have any "artwork" out of this experience anyway.
