And then the system went mask-off and stopped reporting on Bilal Skaf style grapes (stopped reporting on the ethnicities after that), and they basically rewrote history of the events in real-time. All of a sudden the Ieb attacks on lifeguards and swimmers went down the memory hole, so did the post-Cronulla revenge attacks. It’s the same with what you’re suggesting. The people you’re referring to knew what they were doing was wrong but were prepared to do it anyway- telling them it’s wrong is a waste of time. Thank god this is finally being exposed. I grew up in south western Sydney and had decades of experiences of racism from Lebanese muslims including being robbed at atms, threatened with violence and being called "skippy" and being told "these are leb streets, you need to pay if you walk them"..... I saw countless incidents such as these around Bankstown and at my closest beach Cronulla. Media exposed "some" of the gang rapes of Australian girls by large groups of Lebanese muslim men and their horrific details but locals say it was much worse. Our corrupt left wing media also portrayed the Cronulla riot as by "racist Australian bogans" gimme a break.....would a bunch or surfies do this for no reason?? Of course not! What the media never shows is the behaviour of minorities such as Lebanese bullying, bashing, robbing and raping in Cronulla. When will this two tier media coverage be brought to justice? People outside of the Shire don't know about the revenge attacks that happened or the full story of locals being sick and tired of Lebanese Muslim Men coming to Cronulla (this had been happening for 15 years before the riots started.) and threatening females with a word that rhymes with grape. Just because they were wearing bikinis. These Lebanese Muslim Men were also bashing locals. The riots started because two Life Savers had been bashed by a group of Lebanese Muslim Men because the Life Savers dared to speak back to them. The Lebanese Muslim Men had started verbally abusing the two Life Savers telling them to "Get off our beach! We own this beach!" One of the Life Savers turned around and said to the group "We are here to keep you safe. We aren't going anywhere." And then the group started physically attacking the Life Savers. Witnesses who saw the attack on the Life Savers went straight to the local police station to report the attack, but the cops said they couldn't doing anything because the attackers had jumped into their cars and left. People were angry and had had enough. All the other physical assaults prior to the Life Savers attack had the same outcome. The police couldn't do anything because the perpetrators had left the scene and they couldn't be tracked.

We have only to look to UK to see what could have happened if courageous people do not stand up and protect the culture of a society. Thousands of young girls abused and nothing done for years.
@normanmazlin67414 ай бұрын
For a year before the riots, I watched Arab men openly selling drugs to local school kids in the park opposite the Cronulla train station in the afternoons. The police seemed to tolerate these activities until around 20 shots were fired one night in the area. Within a month after the shooting, the area was clean of Arab drug dealers, with new security cameras installed. Within six months of this, the riots happened, I believe, simply because the dealers moved their dealing down to the beach areas and that really got the locals angry. Meanwhile, the police still did nothing until after the riots, when for weeks, you couldn't walk anywhere in Cronulla without meeting groups of mounted police patrols. The police response to this whole situation was both lazy and reactive and is a stark warning that we really can't rely on our police force to keep us safe. There definitely was rasism involved in the riots, a lot of misplaced anger and aggression perpetuated mostly by thugs of both persuasions, imported for the day's outing, spured on by the rants of a particular Sydney radio jock.

Few Australians realise that this event was orchestrated from beyond our shores, purely to create conflict and division in Australia. A similar event, but superficially unrelated, was the Voice / Yes campaign, and the genesis of both is revealed when one identifies the major sources of campaign finance for both scenarios. The Cronulla Riot was not a Muslim-driven situation, nor was it the product of bogan racism. But it was well known along the length of Sydney region that the Lebanese criminal element was well-resourced and this included Christian as well as Muslim elements. We can trace the origins to the UN-demanded Policy of Multiculturalism, which was promulgated with the same motives in mind. I became aware of this when I hosted the first Multiculturalism Committee in Darwin around 1978; two men and a woman who had no idea what the word 'culture' meant, let alone the conflict generated by forcing incompatible cultures to co-exist in the same space. This was Australian's first exposure to the ABC as a Fabian Socialist espionage organisation. The police officers, Scully and Goodwin probably prevented civil war in this nation, which is what was being promoted. We owe these men a debt of gratitude and, once we re-secure democracy and freedom of speech, I would like to see these heroes placed in charge of the national security infrastructure command.

Am I the only citizen who remembers the attacks before and after the riots! The riots started because the Leb gangs were going around beating up people and lifeguards and saying the beaches belong to them. Then the white Australians did the riot. After the riot Leb gangs went through the suburbs of the beaches attacking people in their front yards with baseball bats. I specifically remember a woman who was hit in the head with a baseball bat when she came out to see what all the noise was. These people had nothing to do with the riots yet the Leb gangs bashed them for weeks, and destroyed their property.

We had similar problems in Husrtville during the 80s, we got along with the few Lebs that lived in Hurstville, but the ones from Banksia, Rockdale areas hated us, for no other reason than we where Aussies, and they would come to Hurstville on Thursday nights with knives, and would never fight one on one.

Prior to this incident occurring police were made aware of issues with young Lebanese males who were causing trouble every weekend at Cronulla beach, harassing female beach goers along with surf lifesaving staff etc, just being complete plonkers as young men can be. As such the two local area commands in that area, Sutherland and Miranda, had not supplied staff to a localised "TAG" unit based at St. George police station whereas St. George, Campsie and Hurstville had. Therefore, the "TAG" unit was not allowed to intervene in the issues occuring at Cronulla, this is way before the day of the incident and the whole matter could have been quelled weeks before the riots, but no, senior police at these commands were at war with each other over the staffing of the "TAG" unit therefore no intervention. GOODWIN from memory got his arse kicked as well over a CCTV operation at Town Hall, Sydney, where he was watching criminal activity taking place but may have ordered police to stand down so he could fire the starters pistol for arrests and look good, look it up, it made the papers back then. GOODWIN thought he would be a contender for Police Comissioner and Carl "Sparkles" SCULLY was a hopless state politician who I read was sacked after twice misleading parliament. GOODWIN went off on stress leave after being criticised regarding the Cronulla riots on around $220,000 per annum, not a bad earn. All of the people involved in that episode are now well and truly out of the cops and government so it's history, the book, well why bother.

Ah if I recall - the Skaf rapes x55, Constable Carty murder, Lakemba police station shoot up, countless murders and drive bys and all across Sydney not just one suburb Glenn. Been a problem for a long time and Cronulla was the final straw. Oh and by the way Goodwin was forced out and told to go by those above him and I can assure he did not want to go. The report written about the him was falsified, vindictive and biased- why? because the the author hated Goodwin, the report was not independent or does not pass the pub test. In that comment about the pension, thousands of Pre88ers have left on that scheme due to stress including some of your mates, but you’re not banging on about them! Read the book it’s not a winge, just correcting some of the record and also touches on some of the positives that came out of it.

I wonder what those “issues” concerning the staffing of the ‘TAG’ units were? Why would there be any discussion if an imminent threat had been reported and identified? Really disappointing the community suffers due to the personal interests of those in command!

I was so proud of Aussies for taking a stand that day. Showed me that the spirit of Eureka was still alive in some of our people. The system has not changed at all since then, trying to cover up the races behind home invasions and machete attacks. Oscar Hamilton, Declan Cutler and Vyleen White are just the latest victims of forced multiraciaIism

Life in the Sutherland Shire as a child was the best years for me. The beach culture, the fishing, the freedom. I left Sutherland Shire in '87, I could see the Shire changing because the demographics were changing. You could see the population was increasing, slowly. The faces of the people were different. The way of life for many was soon to be changed. The "Westies" were frequenting the beaches more often. The northern shore of Botany Bay were filling with Lebanese people, becoming an enclave you could say. Things weren't looking good. There was going to be trouble at some time in the future, when, who knew, ... and so it happened.

The brawl where the dude got got the pitchfork from the hardware was massive. They had been harrassing families at the beach, staring at the girls showering, it was out of control. The incident with the lifeguards was the last straw….. The sad thing is the cops wouldn’t let one of the bikie gangs come and protect Cronulla the next night, stopped em coming into the shire. Cronulla after the riots was a truely awesome place for a period. I could go out at night and not be in fear of getting into a fight or a conflict. Often I would be invited into a group of people and would be a part of that group for the night And the females could go out with confidence knowing there was going to be little or no dramas. I really enjoyed this era it was an era of peace. Then about 6 to 10 years ago it turned to shit again. Cronulla is just an extension of the shit slums of Sydney now. These two were part of the 2 tiered policing problem of the time, the retaliations would not of happened if the police had of arrested a hell of a lot more people from the riots. I was treated as a prisoner in my home every time i came home from work going across the bridge to Taren Point, by the police. It was a disgusting period and the number of people that should of been found accountability and werent, were far more than the number of people who then retaliated. dont consider the retaliators as being innocent at all and should also been held to account.

I heard an author give a talk, Australian woman with Lebanese heritage, about how horrible this event was for her community. Fair enough, but in the same talk she described how she was ostracised by her community because she was intending to marry a Caucasian Australian, something she said his family had no issue or concern with (the fact she had a Lebanese background). In fact she was made very welcome by his family. Her family and community, however, would not speak to her. She a,so described how her child from this marriage was not permitted to attend a Lebanese only school in South Western Sydney as he was not fully Lebanese. She managed to change their minds and they enrolled him. Hence, the majority of her talk about racism in Australia (which was her theme) centred on her community being absolutely anti white though she focused on the fact that the only example of racism she could cite was evident at Cronulla that day. It was quite remarkable.

Wow. That took a lot of courage. One of my friends from uni grew up and lives in cronulla and clarified the situation for me many years ago. Glad to hear a correction on those events. There is a problem when one group of people feel vindicated to be able to behave in anyway without accountability. 8 years ago, my friends and I (2 girl and 2 very short guys) were attacked by a group of 3/14 6'2 gym junkie style lebanese who laughed that nothing would happen to them because theyre Lebanese. The event was caught on camera and the police at the time could of caught and prosecuted them... Not because they are lebanese but because its unacceptable to go around thumping women or anyone for that matter... But it seems the police at the time were not interested and nothing more happened and it was swept under the carpet... Once again, allowing thugs to get away with criminal behaviour.
