CORRECTION of a CORRECTION: it breaks my heart, but a sister- or brother jackal made a mistake. The spider in the picture (likely a Funnel Web Spider, Atrax robustus or related) has 8 legs. The smaller pair of appendages are the pedipalps, which with members of the infraorder Mygalomorphae are long and strong. The image is correct (except for the little kitchen knives, Mygalomorphae prefer stilettos). That said, since Seth just bought the correction without fact-checking it, this correction of the correction is also a correction of the corrected correction as part of Corrections, correcting Seth.

My dad died on Dec 2, 2024. I got him to start watching corrections around when episode 50 came out (he started at the beginning) and he LOVED it. We'd chat every week about the episode and laugh. He was so impressed by the absurdist humour of corrections, it gave him a whole new level of love and respect for Seth that he didn't have before. Not that he didn't like Seth, in his words he always felt like he was missing something (we'd argue this because Seth is my fave late night host) though he always LOVED surprise inspection and Jokes Seth can't tell. He used to work at a local newsroom and loved coming up with the worst/cheesiest headlines for breaking stories. He would ALWAYS have a dry assed joke the day of a tragedy "so did you hear about (tragedy)?" ... Followed by "whaaat, too soon?". I cried watching episode 124, as it was the first one he wouldn't get to see. I told my sibling they needed to start watching corrections so I had someone to talk to about it (they're still catching up... If you read the comments, sup T) Anyway, all this to say, my dad is dead and everything is worse now, my only solace is that he didn't live long enough to see this episode. Love your work Seth. Thanks for making me laugh even when I feel sad. Also, sorry your crutch joke bombed so hard with the crew.. but the silence made it so much funnier.

A friend of mine went to high school with one of President Carter's grandsons and he was kind enough to set me up with the former President for a phone interview for an undergrad course I took on the Presidency. Some tarantulas have 2 additional appendages near its mouth that are called Pedipalps. They look like shorter versions of their legs, but are not included and they are still technically arachnids.
