It's honestly amazing how well Seth paced the opening, it really does work at 1.5x playback but runs smoother at 2x. And then the delivery of the first joke hits at Chipmunk speed and made me burst out loud, even having already heard it once before at normal speed. Seth truly is the master of comedic timing.

Whether or not Corrections ends after 100 episodes, I fully expect the 100th episode to be followed by a Specjackular that includes at the very least some excerpts from "Cicada, Cicada", if not the full work! BTW, I actually experienced a cicada emergence (not a double - I think it was a 17-year one). It's quite something. Cars, telephone poles, everything was covered with molting cicadas. I was with an ecology class and the professor and some of us braver folk actually ate the freshly emerged larvae before they hardened into mature cicadas. They tasted like potato. We went to a nearby bar and had them with beer. The locals were freaked out by a bunch of nerds eating live creepy crawlies (larvae) and washing them down with beer! 😋 🍺

I started keeping up with this show at the start of Covid and this has been what keeps me going. I love this show. I love corrections and I love the weird looks my wife gives me as I watch corrections at night before bed. She I so confused at the animal flubs.
