This is really cool history I never knew about. This is great that you take us to the Philippines as if we are there, from our living room. Maybe we'll see more of this from the Good Vibrations channel. 😃💖

That's awesome, my asawa and I were very moved seeing the tributes to the brave Filipino and American service men who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. God bless and enjoy the trip!

Cryptonomicon is a historical fiction by Neal Stephenson that talks about Corregidor. You might enjoy it. It also includes military intelligence, cryptography, etc. Great video Neal! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hello. Is the tour from Manila available in September 2023?

To be 100% certain your best bet is to reach out to them directly at, corregidorisland.com.ph/#section-5 to check their schedule, especially due to holiday observances.

The Office of the President shut down the Corregidor Island Foundation earlier this year in March 2024.

@@shibby_travels thanks Ivy, we like your channel. We’d like to know where you got your information about the ‘rock’ from. My wife and I spend part of the year here in California and part in Manila. We often visit Corregidor when back in the PI. Thanks!

@@Ncollins99It’s in their Facebook account. I can send you a copy of the official letter from the office of the president.

WOw Americans were there for 40 years before the war? Thats a long time. Its tragic that ten years worth of work building the tunnel complex and it was all taken over by the invading Japanese.

Think about it, there could have been two generations of military folks serving 20-year enlistments over all those years. Amazing when you think about how long we were there prior to WW2. Yet alone the next 50 years after the Japanese surrendered and the US came back to the Philippines and remained till 1992.
