Thanks for the video! I'm quietly optimistic about Corregidor in N5. Like, I don't think they're amazing or anything, but the changes to pitcher and spotlight makes the guided play better in active turn, I think. So jazz or valerya in a link team with 2 troops of another keyword, fires the pitcher 24 inches on 11s with SD, and can do this twice before becoming unloaded. Spotlights with 2 dice and then missiles (hopefully still on +6 depending on range band). I see Corregidor much more as mid table brawlers now that everyone else has lost templates and we've kept all of ours! Lastly did the hellcat paramedic always have a deployable repeater? Because that is a really reliable repeater anywhere you need it for, say, total controlling tags or bricking HI!

Very true on the templates, I’m a fan of the new mobile brigada especially. Regarding the pitchers I agree active turn spotlight has gotten better and I’m actually quite drawn to the tsylon landing pitcher’s extremely reliably at long ranges with its BS skill and X - Visor! The deployable repeater is new on the hellcat and I think it has a lot of play. It’ll be interesting to see how it competes with other droptroops and irregulars. I tend to take carlotta and mcmurrough in most of my lists which already puts me down 2 regulars but I can see the hellcat displacing carlotta depending on what else the list is running. Overall I think Corregidor is in a fine place and pretty similar to how they were in N4. Link and wildcard changes hurt a lot as did losing Wolfgang but there has been changes to make up for it!

Boarding Pistols have a place, they basically replace the light flamethrowers in some profiles and now give us a close range template to Brigadas, very nice. The MB ML now being able to ARO forward and to the backline vs drop troops I think is also a nice boost. Lobos and Diablos going berserk with two troops for extra burst on the FtF CC is very nice for even saving the Diablo losing a wound unopposing (while still being very mobile forward)

Also thinking about the Deployable Cover for our Intruder and no more link sixth sense to oppose him could be a very nice combo!

Very much agree on the boarding pistols! I hadn’t really comprehended them when I made this first initial reactions but they are definitely good and I’m warming up to the new mobile brigada. I do like that berzerk especially where the Diablo has that second wound!

I think the TAG Trieber individual profile skills are for that pilot, not a TAG Pilot buff.

The shotgun Moran lost a lot of its capability due to losing its templates and while they have gotten a point cheaper I don’t think that they’re game breaking-ly good in the context they are in as vanilla can only take one and Corregidor as a faction is largely balanced around them. While Morans are still amazing and a points drop is nice, it’s worth recognising that they exist in a context where that context is the worst nomad army who sits at a high C or low B who really suffered from many of the overarching rules changes, fireteam chart, and units available to it. I am a huge fan of the new intruder and hellcat as well! I’ve had a few games now and surprise attack is much more impactful and that deployable repeater on the hellcat is super sweet!
