why does x2 shift to the left when evaluated at n+1? I can't udnerstand that! I thought n was in the time domain so adding to it would shift x2 to the right....

Very good explanation. Do you have a suggestion of a book about the subject?

Hey Douglas, Unfortunately I don’t. I began making this series because the resources at the time weren’t any good. If you go in search and find one though please report back here with the name to let others know :)

nice explanation bro would be somewhat better if you would put up some tutorials with the help of MATLAB and explain them much more visually in an impressive way. But either way it is a fantastic video over here that you made i got the key concept behind why we use this thing !!!

Hey! I can use MATLAB as a means to get me through the things i need but not confident enough to try to teach others. If you have any other MATLAB tutorials on KZbin you think would be helpful i'll happily include references to them in my description.

is this cross-correlation?

Yes, cross correlation is the correlation of two different sequences, as opposed to auto-correlation, which is the correlation of a sequence with itself.
