i use Excel to extract data from websites (FamilySearch, Ancestry, AncestryDNA) - to quickly build a similar worksheet without typing 1) log into FamilySearch.org 2) do a records search (ex: surname search for a town/location) 3) use EXPORT button to create CSV file of results 4) import CSV into Excel. You can use data in CSV file to create "clickable" link to PERSON and RECORD

I have done something similar with my brick wall ancestor and trying to fit him into the family (pre-marriage family) that we think he might be in. But it is still highly circumstantial and even with DNA the only potential sibling's wife is related to my brick wall ancestor's wife.
