Oh, Vanessa. If you'd have been a bit more (a lot more) enthusiastic and not relied on your cue cards so much, and looked a little more enthusiastic, this interview could've been so much better. These guys are so down to earth. Reed sat down with me and my wingman after a gig in Bristol a few years back. They played as a 3 piece that night as Pepper was his hiatus with Down, so all early stuff. Great night and he was great company. We talked about "Deliverance" and how great an album it is. We spoke, Woody joined us for a while, we laughed, we drank and we took selfies. Spent about an hour just hanging out (incidentally, I'm no fanboy. Reed made his way over to where we were having a beer, asked us if we enjoyed the show, and had a couple of beers with us), No cue cards, no boredom, plenty of enthusiasm. Fantastic experience for me and one which I'll never forget. RIP Reed.
