Corrosion of Conformity Join Fan for Band Tattoo, Talk Lemmy, Logos, More

Revolver and Inked have partnered to bring you stories on some of the world's best tattooers and tattoo shops, including New York City's East Side Ink. So when the classic lineup of Corrosion of Conformity descended on NYC earlier this year to deliver a crushing set at Gramercy Theatre, Revolver hosted a contest where one fan would win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the band members and get a COC-inspired tattoo of their choice. Winner Tessa Kenyon went classic, selecting the stoner-rock group's logo for the piece. “We wanted something iconic, like Motörhead,” says bassist Mike Dean of the his band’s instantly recognizable symbol. Vocalist-guitarist Pepper Keenan adds, laughing, “We toured with Motörhead and Lemmy came up to us and said, ‘You have the second best logo.’” Watch East Side Ink's Josh Lord work on the piece while COC discusses what band tattoo they’d get.

Coc worked hard in the 90s I saw them many times that's not what I meant guys my point was all the metal guys from then are in there 60s now still I give pepper props it obvious he's good he plays with the greatest metal singer of all time and showman Philip Anselmo.but you have to admit there has not been any newer music from coc who has only a few original members left in over 20 yrs. FYI. I'm a old sku guy Pantera white zombie best dam show ever. Big fan of coc 30yrs ago that's all I'm saying and amps n guitars and mixer boards make them heavy. I've moved on musicly not compared my achievements with a rock band so its cool . 😎
