Didnt even know this existed. Been seriously digging on the two albums where Pepper was away (self-titled and XI), and this is from that era.

Holy shit, this is epic. The Trouble style Sabbath doom is there in full force. It's always been lurking in there since BLIND, coming closer to the fore on Deliverance and Wiseblood, but it's totally dominating on this EP and that f/n rocks. :)

thought i had heard all of cocs releases but ive never heard this b4.

Me, too. I'm just now finding this an listening for the first time and before it's done, it might well be my favorite COC release. To me, this is like something that has always been lurking under the surface trying to break through. My favorite doom would be Sabbath, by default, but after that Trouble would be the first thing I list, followed by the early Fates Warning albums. This sounds like COC playing as if Sabbath/Trouble were their primary influence.

strangersound yeah Trouble were top notch. i still jam them. Havent messed with Fates Warning tho in years.

This came out between their 2 three-piece releases several years ago. Unfortunately I believe it was a limited copies release. I cant find it anywhere.

Never heard this before, really like this band since Blind, and this may be a short EP but has a great sound with what seems to be many influences, rock on CoC.

Is this pepper on vocals??
@russellmcgurn42174 жыл бұрын
No Mike Dean. And Reed Mulligan even contributes. Pepper was out of the band here for several years. I’m glad he’s back but they showed they could move forward without him.
