It's often worried me that at age 48 I can forget shit 30 seconds after I learn it but What the fuck?!! I haven't heard this album since about 1987 and I still remember All Of The Words!!! I still have this exact tape cassette too. This message is more succinct than ever. You dudes knew what was up. I know I won't be forgetting about you again, that's for sure!!

@truthtodeafears11 жыл бұрын
Of course,but I still feel the vocals should be way more viciously unhinged to complement or even keep up with the crushingly impressive rush of madness and power these songs offer,just like on their albums before this one.
@DamageInc865 жыл бұрын
I sort of wish they could have beefed these songs up with the more straight ahead metal sound from blind, and with more thrash screaming style of vocals. I'd be interested to hear what this might have sounded like recorded in say 1990 maybe.
@perseapina5 жыл бұрын
I might agree but i still like the vocals, they have that charming teenage snottines reminiscent of many early us hardcore bands

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS LP?THEY HAVE ONLY GOTTEN BETTER!
True (Blind lasted a few weeks before I donated it to the used record store...anonymously), but the new stuff is more like a Crossover -Doom/Stoner Metal hybrid. Sounds like a thrashier version of Saint Vitus. Not bad. Though if you're a Thrash purist, probably not. That said, trying to pull off a pure Thrash/Crossover record after playing strictly Stoner Metal & Doom for the past 20 years would have come off as opportunistic given we're currently in an 80's Punk/HC/Thrash revival.
@DamageInc865 жыл бұрын
That's insane you donated that back. That was the first record I ever liked from COC. I had it playing almost constantly in my car. I think reed's drumming on blind is absolutely stunning if you really listen to it, and the guitar is heavy as fuck and still thrashy at times. Vocals can be a bit whiny sometimes, but he actually hits a lot of things that I could never pull off trying to sing along. The bass is also done really well, and ads a lot. Blind is probably in my top ten albums of all time. But then again I like more straight ahead metal and less of the technocracy style by default.
