Sis,your not the only one..I use to think something was wrong with me. I live Here in Jamaica,the church I was baptized in no one knows me and I really don't aim to gain a membership either but you had people saying I have been slipping from the faith...which I would never do,God has brought me out of so much mess and I'm so grateful that God can love me...the church is not the building,its in us...God does not dwell in buildings that build with human hands...and that lady should be greating you with love to know that you made it to church... This journey is a daily walk with God not on Sundays,I am so passionate about him and his word because people are so 'religious' the bible talks about feeding the fatherless, widows,homeless etc. Are we doing that?? No! We find so much energy watching another believer so we can point fingers...the word declares that judgment begins in the house of God. He said that is my people who are 'called' by my name would humble themselves and turn from there wicked ways,then I will hear from heaven and heal the land...so its not only a sinner the 'called' which is us! We need to humble ourselves under the mighty hands of God. I tell u even have church on a daily basis at my home because I know that we don't have to go to a building to gloryfy him... 2 Corinthians vs 17 Now the lord is that spirit: and where the spirit of the lord is,there is liberty.

Amen Sister!! Thank you so much for your encouragement and I am sorry that you had to deal with this kind of thing as well... Lord knows that I did not want to say this but he was urging me to because there is so much of this going on and we need to declare what the word says not what the system of church i saying, which is false and "religious" like you said! Even still I know that I will get some more flack because of this but I am going to stand for Jesus and the true believers in Christ! Yes I was pressed about this for a little bit. God has since then healed and has helped me to move past this part in my life and pull through. I thank you so much for your encouraging words they really helped me sis!! God Bless you sis and your family!

Hi. I was going to a church looking for fellowship too and our car broke down too.Someone sent a letter very kindly and a call but no one helped .I have never felt love for real in churches . It's creepy how they insist upon you coming. I have family in positions and stuff and don't have relationship with them either. I have seen people prophesying, giving money lines and doing strange things. I stared around one day as a teenager and asked God is this all there is? I wanted to know God for myself and I began to learn of him and lose religion.I told God I will welcome people and help them if he helps me to. I will love them and speak truth to them . I will pray with them and read .I am willing.Not of me but my father.Be encouraged Zipporah because I understand.People not even excited about the brethren and Jesus.If anyone on here looking for fellowship I am here.Have to be willing to be a brother/sister and let God teach us how to love one another right.

They may want you to come because of money you give, control, or some other reason.. we have to put our love so to speak where our mouths are. Be encouraged and keep moving forward stay close to God

I Can tell..after 1 visit if it's the Body of Christ. Not all assemblies are like that. I pray you will find a better fellowship in the right season.

I'm sorry to hear that. The person who came you you isn't was being messy, seems spiritually immature, and they weren't walking in love. I would never pass along that "everyone is talking about you" because I know it would hurt if someone said that to me. My church isnt like that all, but I have seen churches like that. Church attendance is important (Hebrews 10:25), but its not a ritual or legalistic like those people have made it. Like you said fellowship is important. Its about coming together in Christ, not just showing up on Sunday.. You may be in the wrong church b/c believers know God is more concerned about relationship w/ Him than a building. At the end of the day, humans are humans and we all make Mistakes and treat people wrongly at some point, even as Christians. Continue to be a light & pray for them. God will lead you to where you're supposed to fellowship.

Amen! Sis, glory to God, I've had the same experience and did not feel any conviction, only God's divine peace when leaving those spiritless buildings. I felt a draining & have spirit of bondage in my spirit when I would go to many churches. I was looked at with nasty stares and no eye contact, not even greeting me when i came through the building door ( just sad) The Holy spirit is our teacher, and I have learned everything being isolated with just Him. Don't get me wrong I find Fellowship on the daily at the grocery store, restaurants, & etc. God bless sis, & Love you in Christ🙏💖

Hello Zippy, what you went through is occuring more and more. It's quite normal because God desires one on one intimacy with each and every one of us as his children and members of his grandiose body - the true church as you stated. Fundamentally, he, The Sun, wants to shine his light (truth from [his] own perspective and not our own) on us directly because the moon being prophets, bishops, pastors, etc can only reflect so much light of the Sun onto a dark world. Indeed, he is your ultimate teacher and The Armor of Righteousness has been undeniably bequeathed to you. Keep your courage sister!!! Absolutely! Absolutely! I clearly understand, but I do need to go to church, will start, but the very people you are talking about is my concern. I am not comfortable with people at church b/c they know how to make you feel some kind of way. God says fellowship so that is what I will do in spite. I support you 100%.

i thought it was just me...but I'm struggling to find comfort in the church I've been attending. I do feel like God led me to this church, and there are loving people in the midst, but the coldness can still be felt. Until people knew that I could sing, most of the members didn't care for my existence. i have issues with rejection as is. getting that from church...is and will always be hard.

I was hurt to by a church member I confined in a minister at my church about a break up in she went behind my back in told another member and that very same member came and told me . What I had confined in her about I was so hurt and was mad at her for a while int'll God spoke to me and told me I have to forgive her right now it still hurts but I have to forgive and let God handle it.

I was trying to ask a minister some questions he felt challenged and decided to look away . Another pastor I asked him to pray for me to see if God can answer whether or not I should join the military. He told all the people I know when I told him to keep it private. Then he has the nerve to want to know how I am doing? I had to silently ignore him, he has the nerve when he knew what he was doing.

I have experienced this before Zippy and I'm sorry that this is what you had to also experience. Everyone that cries "Lord " will not enter into the gates of heaven. There are churchgoers that will turn their backs on you more than an unsaved person. Just know please that all are not like that. Pray for them, they sound spiritually immature and they need Jesus. Churchgoers can also be very judgemental. God knew I wanted to fellowship with people and He blessed me with a church where members would randomly call me and ask what can they pray with me for. I met 2 women there that became my sisters, they would pray for me no matter where they are or what time it is. Unfortunately you will find churches like that out there and God wanted you to know this. Don't be mad and them, in fact I pity them. It's embarrassing that people will experience this. God will be angry with them for turning souls away from Him. God will deal with them. I will continue to pray for them. Zippy this had absolutely nothing to do with you, it's them .

A lady told her pastor she's wasn't going back to church because of gossipers etc. He told her before she leaves fill a glass with water and walk around the church several times and to be sure that none spills. She did just that and the pastor asked her who was gossiping and being mean. She told him she didn't know because she was focused on the glass of water. He said that's how you have to focus on God when we enter His sanctuary. That story helped me a lot. I hope it helps you. Love you and have a blessed day!

I've grown in christ via KZbin and radio.. I go to church expecting to see the fruits of the spirit but the total opposite.. People persue religion rather than a relationship with christ. 1 Corinthians 13 describes it as a resounding gong (without love)
