@Seek and Destroy Thank you for your comment, in which you demonstrate a perfect example of the logical fallacy known as "ad hominem, abusive." If you would like to know, this fallacy is a logical failure in which the arguer attacks the person putting forth the argument instead of addressing the idea in the argument.

there are some of their own kind who have done the very same thing too. Take the killing of Tyre Nichols as an example, those were 5 cops and were black or brown and they murdered him. So it's not always whites who do it. Seeing all this makes Dereck Chalvin's actions on Floyd like nothing and when you see those officers who used pepper spray, a taser, punched and kicked Nichols and used their batons on him, that's just out of line and it was like they knew what they were doing as you'll see from the recorded body cams. Where as in Chalvin's case he never did any of that besides using his knee to restrain floyd but he never killed him it was just Floyd died of fentanyl overdose it was just a coincidence that a cop happened to be there on May 25th. Since then the evil BLM and whites who join in betrayal have just torn too deeply and have divided America.

This is just a report! They need to do something about what they found. If a police officer finds that crimes are being committed they are duty bound to act. The DOJ is the chief law enforcement office in the land and they have found the laws of this land being broken. There should now be charges first to the police Chiefs and shift Sergeants allowing this culture infact they are the sources of this behavior. The Shift Sergeants typically help officers that terrorize and break the law by helping them write and rewrite incident report to either add fabricated charges or word reports so officers who are terrorizing black communities can evade punishment when they inevitably go to far with the daily crimes committed against black people. Violations of the 1st, 2nd and 4 mendments tto the constitution.

2003 I was in Florida on a seasonal working and study visa, Im South African and always wanted to just go to the place where all my favorite music artists are from all the tv shows I watched growing up, my favorite sports after Rugby, Basketball. I love history so our country's histories are very similar we were colonized the same era you had the English and spanish french, we had the Dutch and the English rest of Africa, portugese french belgians germans italians etc. America always pointed fingers at South Africa but if it was not for the African slaves you would never be who you are today. So anyways i was stopped by cops multiple times for nonsense but when they realized i was a foreign student they always change their tone, they always started of very aggressive and dismissive and when you voice your opinion they become angered. I mean in a civilized country with all those prestigious universities you can't find it a prerequisite to have formal training in social skills and policing. Still like the cowboys in the movies i watched groing up. Our cops are horrible but what do you expect with the governing political party we have now. I respect police because they are custodians of the law and uphold democracy supposedly but the racism in america wont stop its in your roots just like in ours over here in south africa. Good luck with that.

So I will ask the elephant in the room question. Who is held accountable for the procedural practices that the investigation has revealed are criminal and violations of the black citizens and against people with behavioral health disabilities of Louisville's civil rights by the Louisville Police for abuse of power and discrimination? Because the conclusion of this "scathing report" only indicates that the DOJ also announced the establishment of a consent decree with Louisville police and an independent monitor who will oversee police reforms. This is a beginning but is hardly full accountability. It amount to getting away with it. In Breonna Taylor's case they settled for a large settlement for wrongful death, but who is being fired, charged and being held responsible for the procedural systemic police brutality of the Louisville Police Department? I'll wait...No actually I will NOT wait because the answer is NOBODY! Until there are individuals criminally charged with substantial consequences this is just a big oooohhhh! And that where I call out BULLSHIT!

When you pull us over for nothing, first thing you do is lock our hands and puch us. What do you want from us. You're all in our neighborhoods waiting for something to happen. Report after report done on police departments and nothing happens. None are fired always an internal investigation and still nothing happens. Remove qualified immunity and make pay for violating us. And watch what happens. As long as they keep getting away with violating us with our punishment, Nothing will happen. We need to see results.

Who actually appoints the 'independent monitor' who oversees the police reform? And HOW would such an important judiciary position ensure that any off the record conduct would comply with the new regulations? One cam 'oversee' a legal process, one can oversee incident reports and records , documents, review hours of body cam footage, and like any investigator, arrive at a recommendation. But what the hell difference would it make if it is STILL implemented and managed by the same Police Dept, who will be 'over-seeing' the over-seer and probably making deals before signing any 'consent decree' ??

These findings should be of no surprise to anyone who lives across the country. It's great that they publicly acknowledge these investigative findings ... but the real trick is, to see if anything will actually be done about it. I mean, for decades, we had investigations and acknowledgement, one after another ... which is telling us what we already know, by them just confirming it, but action to stop any of this has been slow to none. I'm 67 years old, and seen this going on for decades, and it's as bad, if not worse, than the 1960s, today 🟪

@@billmitchell2080 yes, this is a case of that. They stand to be persecuted criminally imo. But qualified immunity refers to granting them immunity from civil suits that stem from damages they do during course of their job. We can sue the department and or city or town for damages stemming from police use of force but we can't sue individual officers involved in incident. As if they'd be able to pay out huge civil suit settlements, anyway. Yes, the do lie. They do lie to protect themselves and their fellow officers, if they can get away with it. And they do this BCS they there's really not enough money on earth to pay people to perform dangerous public service work for a public that hates you.

THEYRE THERE TO PROTECT AND SERVE NOT TORTURE AND KILL BUT THATS WHY I SAY THE SCREENING PROCESS FOR THAT JOB MUST BE BETTER THAN NOW AS WELL AS THE PSYCH EVALUATION PROCESS

God Be the Glory. Some people can learn by hearing. Others can learn by seeing. White people, police officers, choose to deflect and ignore to avoid truth. Sadly, God intervention is needed and I pray he uses the Same measures pattern they exhibit on Black people Be used on them. There is a time coming many will hate them selves because they don't know how to do good. Law and order will be broken and let God be the Glory for what ever we need and want.

This is the systems purpose and they operate with full intent. You can't train an organization to act outside of its mission. I wonder how much money was spent proving what was already known. How many times do you have to study something before you learn from it? A solution was never the goal. They keep the public to keep chasing its tail. This wasn't vindication.

I know the overall solution: get rid of Qualified Immunity and actually punish rogue officers. If they know that there are actual consequences for their egregious actions, then they'll think twice. So just what are they planning to do about the findings in this "report.". Kristen Clarke has a lot of nerve to even open her mouth after trying to get the killers of Amaud Artery plea deals behind his family's back.

Uofl student here, it's wild to see the difference between our campus police and LMPD. A literal night and day difference between policing practices. campus police never interfere with incidents where they're not directly aware or called for, LMPD tries to disrupt and prosecute whenever possible. I might just have that young fire in me, but I don't see a way for the department to change unless DOJ directly steps in. Thank you Attorney general Merrick Garland

Correction on one of the things the mother said. This is not just this police department on how they do policing. It’s a common practice of targeting certain individuals which eliminates POC and false statistics of showing POC appearing to be more aggressive, dangerous, and committing multiple acts of negativity to falsely put people in a bad light to have other people fear them. If we see a certain pattern in the department then obviously it’s the person hiring people who has bad intentions. This isn’t a bad Apple situation but how they do business and not only should cops lose their jobs but Also get convicted of their crimes and when these bad crimes happen police should be held accountable to have them think 3 times before doing wrong. And the shameful part is that the cops have cameras and yet they still commit crimes against people pretending the people are resisting. They need to look through the footage everyday and not take a year to figure out the obvious.

Every Policing Dept. In the US should be required to have US Dept. Of Justice Certification to operate and every policing person in America should be required to be DOJ certified to work as well. Violate certification temporary or permanent suspension And any policing Dept.s That are found in gross violation of certification should be taken over by US military and forced to re-organize and re- hire and reform. Only then can the US guarantee public safety and rights of the US Citizenry.
