I had an armed robbery happen in my home with my children present. I was able to talk about the horror, fear and destruction without crying or shaking to the police and others. I was upset, I was furious but I needed and wanted to tell what took place. Everyone isn't all emotional. Shock and anger can keep you calm.

I know a cop personally, he’s undercover, the body cams are large and quite obvious and protocol is to wait to turn them on. They don’t want body cams going and wasting footage while they aren’t in danger. However, he has forgot to turn it on. Why? Because when someone pulls a gun out, your first reaction isn’t to turn a camera on, it’s to protect yourself. He has also said the body cam footage has done nothing thus far but to incriminate poor black/Latino people and it will be allowed in court....he believes the reverse will happen, they won’t want cams because of this incriminating evidence in court.

Isn’t the bigger question that the law of no knocks warrants and I guess knock and announce in this case are prob bad laws and shouldn’t be used in most cases. So why hold the actual officer accountable for returning fire once he has been shot at, I think every human being would return fire in that instance. I mean he’s just following orders from his superiors to execute the warrant. Hell if I’m the guy in the house and I didn’t hear clear and concisely it was the police I’d shoot also, but for the officer returning fire it’s not on him at that point. The police decided to give the resident (Taylor) a chance to decently respond to the search warrant.
