I think you should keep Cindy#2 as your "Face of Failure" a la Moriah Elizabeth! Your tenacity is SO inspiring!!! I like the black trees as more of a bad girl vibe.

I was thinking that I hope you keep them all, not as a face of failure as such, but mapping your progress. File her away, making a note to draw her again, perhaps in a year. I keep a section of my journal for future projects and things I am not satisfied go in there also. Don’t look at your rebellious Cindy yet,but draw her, or a friend in the manner of. When finished dig out your first Cindy and compare. I am sure you will enjoy noting how you have grown as an artist. By the way, you did an excellent job of stepping out of your comfort zone. You are growing and glowing.

Seeing the art fails is great! We’re already seeing you grow as an artist and it shows people watching that it’s all part of that creative process. For every stunning masterpieces, there might be 100 failures before it. All artists go through that phase, you just don’t normally see the bad and it discourages those wanting to try. Your final piece is lovely!

I love that your art work is layered, such as cut out and glued together. It makes your art more unique and gives a cool 3D effect. I never would have thought to cut and paste pictures into the "Create this book" series. It keeps the book looking filled, but tidy, lol. You are amazing and talented. Cindy #3 is my favorite, but Cindy #2 could easily be turned into the "Yes we can" lady to support women in the work place, lol. I would love to see that. ❤

that background is *chef's kiss* very cool style! Thanks for showing how it doesn't always work out, the big reveal of the first face was a good call 😆helps people who are new to art see the real process and be less afraid to be bold and try new things, even if we don't get it quite right at the start

This turned out awesome! I love the way you did the background. Especially the black trees. And always remember that great quote from Edison when asked how it felt to fail: "I have not failed. I've just found 10000 ways that won't work."

That is so cool! I mainly watch (and do) pencil art, so it was really fun to see you turn it into a cut-out piece at the end. I love the effect! I also totally agree with Sarah, there is no waste in using art supplies to make art. If you need to use a lot of art supplies to get the result you want, then do that. It would be sad to make pieces we're only partially happy with because we're constantly saving the art supplies to make more pieces we'll only be partially happy with. Better to use all the supplies you need, and pick up more when you're running low :)

I love how in the intro you catch yourself up when you were about to say - again - "i'm not a professional artist" There you go ! Yes, coloring humans ain't your go-to but it is nice to see you always trying new stuff, new ways of doing art. I also love that t-shirt xD especially since you are showing us all your attemps at this drawing. And finally, i love how kept at it despite those failures as you say in the beginning. And how you call them "steps" to the final results at the end. That's awesome ! That is how we learn. By making mistakes, and going through. Thank you so much. This background is clever ! And the drawing at the end is beautiful. See ya on the next video ❤🤓

You shouldn’t beat yourself up so much for having to restart. Trial and error are how we learn and your end project turned out so good. This was awesome. Fresh, honest, fun to watch, especially when you began to do the cut-outs, but even more especially because we saw the true process, and not the refined version. Others have said just about everything I would say, so I'm chuffed to bits about that!!!!! Keep going, keep growing - and keep the failures' as referrals for later, when you think you aren't making progress. (See my reply to Mary Elizabeth alloneword... ) And finally, thank you for being true to yourself. 😊

I see this cindy turning on her step sisters and being the mean girl and making them do her chores instead. Also don't feel bad for starting over. Like bob ross said happy accidents. I have actually changed from spiral bound sketchbooks to hardbound as I used to constantly rip out my failures instead of learning from them and leaving them in to reference and practice makes perfect. I've printed coloring pages on better paper and even fabric to paint so i don't see tracing it on better paper as a cheat. I see it as a hack to get the most out of one page over and over again. A bonus is you can donate the book to a children's hospital after because you didn't color directly in the book.

Hi there again, I hope you're doing well :) Thank you for another fun video to watch and (!) This Cindy is a real bad girl - but not too bad. Just like Sandy - and oh my god, that movie is that old already!? When I was about 15 my mom introduced Grease to me and I hyped it a lot because the music was so catchy (mind you my mom doesn't know any English and we had to watch it dubbed, only the songs were in the original tone :P ). Do you think Disney Princesses as different kinds of Gothics or Metal girls would look cool? Well however, back to your amazing art, I'm babbling again, sorry ;_; I think this Cindy will be a good reminder of how far you've come in your jeourney in a few month or in a few years. Seeing fails is a good way to remind us all that there's not only perfection. I think all artists should sometimes show their "failures". I think it's great how you just start over things, how you test and try new things and it all seems like you are enjoying your time :D Whenever I have to redo a painting or drawing, it takes me years because I think it's boring to have to start over xD You're learning so much along the way and that's fun to see. I have also done some of the same mistakes and now I'm still doing other mistakes :P The fun thing of being an artist is, that we never stop learning. Thank you for this week's video, I'm looking forward to your next one~

well done you :D this really came out nicely. i live the inktense pencils and the inktense blocks since they aren*t watercolour but inks. means they don*t reactivate when you layer another colour on top. and you can't lift them by accident. makes for some really nice layering

@@aussiecrafter i used to own an artsupply store and got to try all the fancy stuff when it came out derwent used to sell a little glas with a grater like a parmesan grater to use with the pencils or blocks. you could rubb off the pigment and water it down to use like propper inks
