This is such a fantastic idea and so well executed! I can’t understand how you haven’t got more subscribers as your video production quality and creative talent is top notch! You could definitely sell your blank swatches as PDF printables for people to download and create their own swatch book, I’m sure they would be popular. Excited for your next video!

6:04 Alcohol markers should be stored flat, especiallly if they are dual-tipped, because if they are stored on an angle, the ink will all go to the nib on the bottom. Hope this helps!

When will they be on sale? I mean, you have to sell them! I hope you have them copyrighted! I had to laugh at the part where you looked like you were falling asleep while swatching. With alcohol inks you would be better using Yupo paper (I believe you had some of that in your art haul) and using alcohol blending solution rather than water. You can get some awesome effects with alcohol inks, I've found them better for creating backgrounds than for colouring images. Tim Holtz has videos on using them which you may find helpful.

If you haven't redone the Inktense watercolor pencil swatches: With watercolor, it's recommended to make blends and strokes from the lightest to deepest part. That way you don't deepen the lighter colors too much. Also, it looked like you were bearing down a lot on one half and just letting the color flow to the other half. No judgement of course, because everyone can use their supplies the way they like, but you can get a similar gradient of color like normal pencils, lightly coloring the page, to the deepening it the further you go. (And then add water, from the lightest portion of the pencil to the deepest.) I hope that makes some semblance of sense. The swatches look absolutely amazing though, and it makes me want to get out all of my art supplies and do something similar! Though I do shudder at the idea of doing it with my markers, which is my biggest collection in the way of art supplies.

I found using an afmat electric sharpener works amazing on my prismacolor pencils. It sharpens them different than the average sharpener and they don’t break sharpening them or using them after. It’s a six hole sharpener so it will sharpen 3 sizes of round or hex pencils and 3 triangle holes it’s fantastic!!!!!!

Love it. There's something so satisfying about a nice neat organised page of all the colours in a set. I would need to obtain more full sets of things to be able to do something like this. And to do that I need a bigger house.. lol. For the alcohol inks one, I wonder if you might have got a better representation of the medium using a sheet of yupo or similar, or like clear binding covers/OHP sheets - something non-porous. I noticed that you are using what looks like Isocol as an extender. I started out with that but it wasn't working great so I googled and found some recipes people came up with to make your own extender using much purer isopropyl alcohol (I got mine at Jaycar) and a small amount of glycerine. I had much better results and longer working time with that mixture which I think really makes a big difference in the Aussie climate :) Oh, I thought the way you made the fine page lines on the outside of the box was genius! I had been wondering how you'd manage that. Seeing you paint along the side of the ruler on purpose made me have flashbacks to school where if you ever used your ruler to draw a line with texta you'd be accidentally leaving coloured lines over everything for a few days!

I love this idea so much! :) Your book looks really cool and I have a similar box somewhere so I finally might have a use for it thanks to you! :) I have a swatchbook (well, more like a stack of laminated sheets of papers in a plastic envelope thingy), but I don't use it as much as I used to because about a year ago I discovered the keyring tab style swatch collections and these are just brilliant for matcing colours to reference photos. I feel a little guilty about spending so much time on the first swatch collection but I was just a beginner at the time, I didn't know how will use the swatches. Also by making all of them I have learned a lot about every single piece of art supplies I own and that makes worth the time and effort I invested in them. :) Btw. my swatch book is called "The Rainbow Collection". I am a bit obsessed about having every art supply in the correct rainbow colour order. :D Oh, and if you take suggestions: I would love to see you working with the Inktense pencils. I love how rich their colours are and I would love to make better use of them but I don't really have ideas how to use them except in a few illustrations and in my colouring books.
