Corruption allegations in Parliament and opposition rifts addressed by LOP | ON THE SPOT

Over the past few weeks, Parliament has been the focus of media and public attention especially over allegations of corruption, irregular expenditures, and lack of accountability. Several opposition figures have been at the center of some of these accusations and counter-accusations of corruption. This comes on the heels of internal rifts within all of the country’s major opposition political parties. To put some of these issues in perspective we hosted the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi.

Three things to take out of this, Mpuuga was either incompetent, He turned a blind eye at this grand theft or he's complicit and part of the scheme to defraud Ugandans of tax payers money. I was wondering how of all LOPs he's the one being awarded 500m shs. Does the IGG have the balls to ask questions?. Does the president find this to be OK that the parliament spend tax payers money like that? Does the Hon members of the parliament who are quiet think Ugandans are stupid?. It is so sad in the country of ours that life continues as if everything is OK.

Where is the law to deal with issues of conflict of interest? Why would anyone that has a job in parliament or government have a company that also serves the same institutions in government?
