Corsa B Idling and heavy fuel consumption fixed

I just pluged them in. You can disconnect the battery for 5 min to reset the computer.. Turn ignition on and off 3 times without starting. Then start and see if it helped.

@@CriPtZoNe thanks for the quick response and advice. I did diagnostics and cleared all the codes and the didnt come back. Is it possible that these sensors are faulty even if they don't throw fault codes or engine lights? My corsa bakkie drives fine revs fine but fuel consumption is quite high . I changed bougi cords and seems qbit better. Don't know if I should change sensors or jut clean them

@@mariusferreira they are not realy faulty. If you buy parts that are not origenal the resistince and voltiges are not the same as the real thing. That is why they dont work 100% And they can give problems without the engine check light coming on. If the consumption stays high, check your timing gear on crank and see if the key way is not worn.

Hello I have a 2003 Corsa that thin pipe you said had a hole in it what's it name? Cause mine to had a hole and replaced it with a pipe from Midas but it was a bit bigger, and my fuel consumption is thru the roof and not sure if it's maybe that, I also replaced both sensor and crank sensor and temperature sensor and tested the map sensor but my revs are still high have to switch the car off and on again, but if I push on the butterfly where the throttle cable connects them the revs drop so I have no idea please help

The thin pipe is a fuel pressure pipe. It helps with the fuel injection. I am having the same problem as you again. It revs 3000 rpm and then I have to switch it off and on again. I am making a video trying to find the problem. It is not electrical this time and sensors are working. I think it is throttle body. I found one of the springs in the accelerator gets stuck. I am going to open and clean it and see if that helps.

@@CriPtZoNe thanks for the reply really appreciate it 👍 do you prehaps know where to get that pipe I threw mine away instead of mending it and I think the bigger pipe is causing the greater fuel consumption, I have taken my throttle body off and cleaned it out works for a little bit but then it starts again, like I said when I push back on the throttle body where the throttle cable connects it then revs normally like there isn't enough tension in the spring to make it sit flush, I have no idea but replaced everything else already lol

Hey thanks the for great video, i have a corsa lite 1.4i and when the car is cold it drives like a dream, when its warm it switches off before i come to a stop when i press the clutch it would die. It starts immediately afterwards. When i pull away sometimes the revs drop below a 1000 and other times the revs go up. After it switches and i start it you can smell the petrol. Any idea what it could be?

@@junaidbwanali403 today I took out the idle sensor and cleaned it. Drove it for a short well and felt good, will drive tomorrow again to see if it's still fine

Idle control valve or sensor clean with carb cleaner and port it fits in to or does not work replace sensor

I am currently sitting with the problem again but I think the electrical cabble is damaged and not the unit. I am busy making a video as we speak. Just waiting for some cash so that I can take it for propper diagnostic. I will share the outcome as soon as I find the problem.

I have the same problem my car jerks in the drive aswell cuts off now and then and stop street or traffic light. Has that happened to you aswell. If this can solve my problem where do I buy those sensors and what do they cost.

I buy them ar Golfwagen. They cost about 600 rand for both. I never had the cut off or jerking problem. Just high reving.

if the car cuts out its the fuel relay its on the right bottem side of your accelerator pedal a black plastic cover there is a few relays my astra got a purple 1 not shure if the corsa is the same colour you can buy that at midas problem solved

Hi , I have an issue with the gears 1st gear needs to be hold when pulling away otherwise it jumps out and worse the reverse grinds badly

Could be the links are worn on the gear links. Replace them. And then adjust them and see if the gears ho in better.

Also check the forks inside the gesrbox. They might be worn.

I have an issue on my corsa B where the car is not starting battery is fully charge when the car starts the gages on the car do weird things switches on and off not sure if its the alternator iv replacesd the positive and negative on the battery hoping its not arching but still no luck any suggestions plz.

Could be the computer box. Best thing wil be to take it for diagnostic. Skould be able to say where the problem is.

hi there.. i have a corsa lite too and my problem is loss of power, its as if the timing is out, i have changed the timing gear and all sensors regarding idling ,fuel and air.. do u perhaps an idea wot cld be the problem ? when the car is cold it drives ok but when hot its very unsstable

Did you also look at the crank sensor.? Could be the computer or idling management system. Have to do a diagnostic to make sure.

When I disconnect the petrol switch I think,its starts well but when I put back then the car just sounds like it's wanna loses power and switches the engine off.

Try a comunity forum. They might have the answer. It could be the switch. Could be blocked fuel line. Or elecktronic. I have not had that problem before. Good luck. If you get it sorted let me know what it was.

I have not had that issue before. Does it seem like there is a dead spot. Does it rev up eventualy or not at all. Could be fuel sensor or injector problem. Maby fuel management chip? I would suggest doing diagnostic.
